Executive Producer Alex Hedlund Talks “Chucky” Season 3 In Our Interview

Season three of “Chucky” has officially begun, finding our favorite possessed doll in the White House. I had the pleasure of talking with the series’ executive producer, Alex Hedlund, about what fans can expect this season, what it takes to bring Chucky to life, and much more. Watch the interview below. Hedlund has been involved in many great projects, like the film As Above, So Below, the oh-so-creepy series “Channel Zero,” Netflix’s delightfully twisted series “Brand New Cherry Flavor,” the big-budget film The Great Wall starring Matt Damon, and the list goes on. What I’m trying to say is that Hedlund is awesome! Plus, I mean, who doesn’t love Chucky? “In Chucky’s unending thirst for power, season 3 now sees Chucky ensconced with the most powerful family in the world — America’s First Family, inside the infamous walls of the White House. How did Chucky wind up here? What in God’s name does he want? And how can Jake, Devon,

HorrorFuel.com Interviews ‘Dear David’ Movie Director John McPhail

One of the most highly anticipated horror movies of the year., Dear David, is headed your way, just in time for Halloween. Back in 2001, we reported on BuzzFeed artist Adam Ellis’ spooky-as-hell social media thread labeled “Dear David,” which quickly went viral. The posts/updates told about the paranormal activity in his home and the sightings of a child’s ghost, who threatened his life. We reported the same year that a movie was in the works. After two years, it is finally set to open in theaters. I recently had the pleasure of talking with the film’s director, John McPhail, about bringing this fright-filled, haunting story to life on screen and what it took to create this horror film. McPhail is not new to the horror genre. He is also behind the fun holiday horror film Anna and the Apocalypse, released in 2017. He was also featured in the 2020 genre anthology series “Bite Size Halloween.” Of course, he doesn’t

There’s blood in the water. A new shark attack movie, Deep Fear, is swimming your way, and Gravitas Ventures has just unleashed the trailer that teases the brutality of a shark high on cocaine. Madalina Ghenea (House of Gucci) and Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) lead the cast of Deep Fear, directed by Marcus Adams (Long Time Dead). The cast also includes Macarena Gómez, Stany Coppet, David Legeusse, Ibrahima Gueye, Marianna Garradas, Marco Canadea, Tenika Mahoney, John-Paul Pace, Shane Rowe, and Natasha Tikasz. Deep Fear stars Madalina Ghenea as Naomi, an accomplished yachtswoman, on a solo trip to meet her boyfriend, Jackson – played by Ed Westwick. Her tranquil three-day sail aboard a 47-foot yacht takes an unexpectedly dark turn when she responds to a distress signal to aid a sinking vessel, where she finds survivors clinging to the shattered remains of a boat. Events soon take a malevolent twist when it is revealed that the survivors are savage drug traffickers

Mostly Spoiler Free Review: Dear David – Inspired By A True Story

In 2017, Buzz Feed artist Adam Ellis made the first tweet about the ghost child with a crushed head haunting him. The tweets referred to the child as “Dear David,” and quickly, it went viral as he updated his followers regularly about the spooky events. It didn’t take long for Buzz Feed and Lionsgate to acquire the right to his story and adapted it for a movie set to be released this October. As someone who followed the original “Dear David” thread as the story unfolded, I already had prejudice towards the movie. I believed it couldn’t hold up against the spookiness of Adam’s tale. Plus, a recent poster made me lose some interest in the movie because, frankly, it looked super cheesy, making me assume the movie would be too. Well, you know what they say about assuming, “It makes an ass out of you and me.” I decided to watch it anyway, prepared to write a scathing review.

‘The Last Voyage Of The Demeter’ Sets A Course For Home Release

The Last Voyage of the Demeter sailed into theaters this past summer. Now has set a course for a home release and is a “must-own” for any collection. Directed by André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe), the movie is based on a single chilling chapter, “The Captain’s Log,” from Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula, and tells the terrifying story of the merchant ship Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo—fifty unmarked wooden crates—from Carpathia to London. The Last Voyage also stars Corey Hawkins (In the Heights, Straight Outta Compton) as Clemens, a doctor who joins the Demeter crew, and Aisling Franciosi (Game of Thrones, The Nightingale) as an unwitting stowaway. Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones, Clash of the Titans) as the ship’s captain, and David Dastmalchian (Dune, the Ant-Man franchise) as the ship’s first mate. Javier Botet stars as Dracula. In our spoiler-free review, we called it “nightmare-inducing and brutal.” Unfortunately, the movie didn’t get the love it
