Mike Flanagan’s Edgar Allen Poe Series “Fall Of The House Of Usher” Premiers This Fall

If there’s one thing you can count on when it comes to director Mike Flanagan, it’s quality, just look at his spooky-as-shit Netflix series “Haunting of Hill House” or one of his films. Well, he’s back (not that he ever left) with his new series, based on the tales of Edgar Allen Poe, titled “The Fall of the House of Usher.” The limited series from Intrepid Pictures features eight episodes, four that were directed by Flanagan and four by Michael Fimognari, who worked with Flanagan as cinematographer for “Haunting of Hill House” and directed several episodes of Flanagan’s new series “The Midnight Club.” “It’s crazy. It is unlike anything I’ve ever done, but in the other direction. My favorite way to describe it to people is like ‘Hill House’ is kind of a string quartet, and ‘Bly Manor’ is this delicate, kind of beautiful piece of classical piano music, and ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ is heavy metal.

Johnny Depp Starring In Live-Action ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’?

Over the past few years, Disney has been on a mission to adapt their most popular animated films into live-action stories with movies like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. The internet is buzzing after posts have surfaced stating that a live-action version of the 1993 Tim Burton classic The Nightmare Before Christmas is in the works with Johnny Depp set to star. It’s officially Halloween season! Right on time, AMC Networks announced today a monster-sized return of AMC’s “FearFest,” its long-running horror and genre programming event, with over 700 hours of films, series, and specials to be curated by Shudder, AMC Networks’ streamer for horror, thrillers, and the supernatural, for the very first time. Movie Review: ‘The Meg 2: The Trench’

Anyone who knows me knows that I love anything involving sharks, and I love a good action flick from time to time. I was super excited when The Meg came out in 2018. So, of course, I was going to watch The Meg 2: The Trench. Well, I have, and now I have some thoughts. Warning spoilers ahead. The Meg 2 picks up years after the original events and sees a research team encounter multiple threats while exploring the ocean’s depths, including a malevolent mining operation, multiple megs, “the Kracken,” dinosaurs, and a bunch of bad guys. A few of the original cast members return to reprise their roles, including Jason Statham, Cliff Curtis, Page Kenedy, and young actress Shuya Sophia Cai. Unfortunately, their director let them down.
