Maggie And Negan Team Up In New Spin-off Trailer For “The Walking Dead: Dead City”

“The Walking Dead” is gearing up to take a bite out of the “Big Apple” with its latest spinoff, “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” and the first teaser trailer has arrived. “Dead City” centers on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). In the original series’ most infamous scene, Negan brutally murdered Maggie’s husband, Glenn, but they have found a way to work together since Negan has become one of the good guys. “Walking Dead: Dead City” sees Maggie and Negan traveling to a “post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and residents who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.” The six-episode spinoff series is set two years after the main show’s finale. Movie Review: Invaders From Mars (1953) – Ignite Films Blu-ray

Junior astronomer Davey MacLean (Jimmy Hunt looking between 9 and 39 depending on the angle) is awakened one night by a thunderstorm only to witness a glowing green flying saucer land behind a large hill next to his house where it promptly sinks deep within the earth. The next morning David’s father, George (Leif Erickson in a performance that goes from lovable goof to violent, moody, secretive monster with shocking ease) heads out to investigate the hill, but comes back as a complete prickus, and soon David’s mother Mary (Hillary Brooke), his neighbor, the local constables, and more fall victim to the cosmic evil buried deep in the sand. New Horror Series “The Dead Hour” Debuts This May

The new horror series “The Dead Hour” is set to premiere next week. Here is what you need to know about it. Creators Daniel B. Iske & Scott Coleman say the classic The Twilight Zone was their key inspiration for the limited series, which features 12 episodes. It’s an anthology series featuring a creepy tale. Each episode is bookended by a twisted radio announcer (Melissa Holder) introducing each episode. “We created our setup, a delightful yet twisted radio DJ in a dark booth late at night telling her audience creepy tales. We would start each episode with her opening setup monologue and then we’d jump into the story as it plays out on screen. For over a year we would come up with hundreds of short story ideas before finally narrowing it down to the dozen or so that we wanted to do first. Is Eddie From “Stranger Things” Still Alive?

“Stranger Things” fans were left on the edge of their seat after the season four finale, and they were crushed by the death of Joseph Quinn’s Eddie, who quickly became a heartthrob that inspired videos, memes, giant cornfield art, and Metallica even paid homage to the character. It looked like Eddie died but could all of the bites from the bat things caused him to change and be revived? Multiple videos are floating around that tease that Eddie is alive but stuck in Vecna’s world. Are they authentic? I have no idea, but they are giving fans hope. ‘The Blair Witch Project’ Conjures A New Sequel

Found footage film The Blair Witch Project was groundbreaking, paving the way for found footage films, as well as multiple books and video games, and sequels. Now the franchise is expanding again with a new sequel. According to Production Weekly, Oliver Park (The Offering, Strange Events) is set to direct the sequel for Lionsgate, who is teaming up with Haxan Films, who were behind the 1999 original. Shadowman Makes Gaming Comeback In ‘Shadowman: Darque Legacy’

Today comic publisher Valiant Entertainment and indie game developer Blowfish Studios have announced that they’re teaming up to bring the best-selling fan-favorite comic book character Shadowman back in an all-new horror adventure game Shadowman: Darque Legacy. The game’s description is as follows: “As a conspiracy threatens to overrun the realm of the living, Shadowman must contend with horrifying inhuman entities with challenging melee combat. Follow a dark path from the land of the living to the hellish realm of the Deadside as you cross the veil between both. Embody the hero of the dark to traverse the necromantic divide, overcome dastardly obstacles, and silence the terrifying threats lurking within.” From the sounds of it, Shadowman: Darque Legacy could potentially be either an action RPG or a Souls-like game. Either way, fans of the old games as well as fans of the comics can look forward to 2024 for the game’s release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Game Review: ‘Death or Treat’

I’m not alone when I say I’m not looking forward to summer’s approach and would rather have autumn again and enjoy the wonder and fun of Halloween. Saona Studios is here to scratch that Halloween itch with Death or Treat where you must save Halloween (or at least Hallowtown). Death or Treat follows a little ghost named Scary who runs a mobile candy shop called Ghost Mart. Business should be good in Hallowtown but larger corporations are stealing customers, forcing Scary to take a stand. Now onto the game itself! The controls for Death or Treat are pretty simple as this is a hack-and-slash kind of game with platforming so it’s pretty basic. The soundtrack is pretty good and fits the tone of the game as well as its art. Speaking of art, I really like the animation of the game’s cutscenes and gameplay, definitely can tell it’s hand-drawn, or at least colored in by hand, it flows quite smoothly
