To honor the memory of celebrated actor Ray Liotta, who passed away earlier this week at 67, Unearthed Films is re-releasing 1994’s No Escape, set in 2022. From the makers of Aliens and The Terminator, the film is set in the prison of the future, escape is impossible, and survival isn’t much easier. A soldier convicted of murdering his commanding officer is dumped and left to die on a prison island inhabited by two camps of convicts. Liotta leads the cast as Captain J.T. Psychological Horror ‘When I Consume You’ Snags An August Release Date

1091 Pictures, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (Nasdaq: CSSE) company, announced today the acquisition of English-speaking world rights to Perry Blackshear’s atmospheric social horror film When I Consume You. Blackshear, the filmmaker also behind They Look Like People and The Siren, once again has teamed up with the cast and creative collaborators MacLeod Andrews, Evan Dumouchel, and Margaret Ying Drake, alongside Libby Ewing, to deliver a film about family drama, grief, and redemption with When I Consume You. The film is written, directed, and lensed by Blackshear, who also produced alongside Andrews, Dumouchel, and Ewing. Chilling New Images Arrive From Survival Thriller ‘Frost’

Today, we’ve got the first look at director Brandon Slagle‘s chilling new thriller Frost, the story of a young woman and her estranged father who have to fight to survive after being stranded on a remote mountainside during a winter storm. Written by Robert Thompson, based on a story James Cullen Bressack, Frost was filmed on location in the San Bernardino mountains in southern California. After recently wrapping up final production on Glen Danzig’s film Death Rider in the House of Vampires, Bressack produces with Tim Yasui co-producing the feature. Vernon Wells (Mad Max II, Weird Science), Devanny Pinn (The Dawn, Crossbreed), and Venus DeMilo Thomas (Life, Family Matters) star in the survival thriller. 2021’s Croatian Game of the year Saint Kotar which was developed by Red Martyr, will be coming out in both digital and physical forms this October in time to help set the mood for gamers heading into Halloween! Saint Kotar is a psychological detective horror game with point-and-click style mechanics set in Croatia with Lovecraftian tones. Players can switch between two characters, Benedek and Nikolay, each seeing things in their own unique perspectives. The two are in the occult-ridden town of Sveti Kotar in search of a missing relative but it’s quite clear that something horribly unnatural is going on.
