Birkwood Castle in Scotland has been put on the market as its owners have gone into administration. For £80m ($1,356,670.00) you can buy the former psychiatric hospital that’s being developed into a luxurious hotel along with houses being built on the property, the castle is not the only thing you will buy with your purchase; you will also get its ghosts. The gothic style Birkwood Castle was built in the 1860’s, in the 1920’s it was purchased and was used as a psychiatric hospital for teens for over 90 years before being closed down in 2002. Former staff, owners, and locals have reported strange occurrences there ranging from a ghost of a man smoking a cigar wondering the halls of the castle and a former doctor who died from a heart attack while working in the hospital is reported to be seen looking out windows. A new online petition is calling for SONY Studios to halt the release of their upcoming horror movie Slender Man citing the incident that made headlines back in 2014 when Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser, both 12 years old at the time, tried to murder a friend and fellow classmate, Payton Leutner also age 12. The motive behind the attack that stunned their hometown of Waukesha, Wisconsin was that they wanted to become “proxies” to the fictional character Slender Man and prove their loyalty to him so their families will be spared by him. One of the film’s biggest critics and is said to have signed the petition himself is Anissa Weier’s father who calls the film “extremely distasteful” due to the fact that three families have been affected by this fictional character. Weier was sentenced to 25 years in a Mental Health facility after pleading guilty and subsequently found not guilty due to mental illness by a jury, Her

Welcome to the first entry of a new ongoing series, Horror Short of The Week. This week’s entry; “2AM: THE SMILING MAN” If you’ve got 4 minutes and a clean pair of underwear , “2AM: THE SMILING MAN” is a short film you need to see. Based off an old creepypasta, “SMILING MAN” is one of the most atmospheric, terror inducing shorts I’ve ever seen. Excellent use of sound design, from feet scrapping across the sidewalk to the blaring alarm, adds a sense of horror that’d be sorely missing otherwise. Paul Foltz, whose only IMDB credit is this film, is perfectly horrifying as the well dressed, skyward looking monster at the cent of the movie. Without a single word or change of expression, he conveys a sense of madness and perfect horror. The simplicity of his character works well here. You don’t know anything about the smiling man, except he’s tall, he’s fast, and he’s completely fucking crazy. “THE SMILING

The most hated man on the internet who “Dabs on Haters” can’t Dab his way out of this one. Police officials from Yamanashi prefecture want to speak with Logan Paul in relation to his disastrous click-bait video that shows him and his friends in Japan’s “Suicide Forest” where they found the remains of a victim of suicide and joke around while filming it. It’s unclear why the Police wish to speak with Logan since they’re declining to comment, in Japan whenever a suicide is involved. Though there have been many documentaries made in Japan’s Suicide Forest, Logan Paul’s is a first of its kind where the ones filming, visibly show disrespect and exploit the situation. A side note, contrary to popular belief Japan does not have the highest suicide rates in the world. According to data by the World Health Organization (WHO) that was updated in April 2017, based on suicides per 100,000 people a year, Japan is 26 on

On Wednesday (Japan time), 28-year-old newspaper delivery man Kazunari Saito was arrested in Tokyo for the attempted murder of a suicidal teenage girl who he met online. According to Japan Times, Saito saw the girl’s tweet on Twitter expressing suicidal tendencies that prompted him to contact the girl and lure her to his residence with the promise he would end her life. After the girl arrived Tuesday, Saito strangled her with a string and left her for dead. The girl survived the attempt and escaped from Saito’s home and made contact with her father resulting in police arresting Saito who admitted to authorities that the girl “Wanted it.” This incident follows very closely on the heels of a familiar case that shook the nation back in October. On Halloween police in Zama, Kanagawa Prefecture were looking for a missing 23-year-old woman and ended up at an apartment owned by 27-year-old former supermarket worker Takahiro Shiraishi following events that came right

Youtube celebrity Logan Paul became the world’s most hated person two days into 2018. Paul ‘s claim to fame began with comedic Vine videos he made with his brother, Jake before the two moved to Youtube and became “Internet Famous”, a term often used to describe Youtube fame. Some of the following information may be considered disturbing. On December 31st, 2017, Paul posted a vlog (video blog) of him and his friends going to Aokigahara, Japan’s famed “Suicide Forest” where people often go to commit suicide in the dense forest. The vlog, as he reportedly stated in the video was to be a “funny vlog”, so going to a place known for mass suicides is the best choice (I’m being very facetious). While in the forest, Paul and crew came across the remains of a young man hanging from a tree. The face was blurred out but you can clearly see the body slumped against a tree. Paul who’s wearing

Playing Video games online is supposed to be fun, well, not many people think so (me included) for many reasons but the main one is being “Swatted” (Swatting) a prank that involves emergency services most notably Law Enforcement, to respond to a call involving a violent incident. These calls are done anonymously through online services or programs which are supposed to make it hard to be traced (but can be). Swatting usually happens to high profile individuals, celebrities, politicians and gaming streamers but some people Swatted other players out of revenge, normally these incidents are potentially dangerous but on Thursday night it became deadly. Police in Wichita, Kansas responded to a call that a man killed his father and has taken people in the house hostage. After arriving and at the front door of the house, Andrew Finch (29) was shot and killed by a police officer as he opened the door. It turned out the call was a Swatting

In South Wales, not just Santa is expected to stop by your home for the holidays, keep an ear out; here comes the Mari Lwyd (Gray Mare)! Mari Lwyd is a Hobby Horse, those toy horses that was basically a stick with a stuff horse head on one end, the Welsh kept the stick but have a horse skull on the end of it! Just to add to it, a person carries the stick with the skull on it while draped in a white cloth most commonly giving the appearance that the Mari Lwyd is a tall cloaked figure with a horse skill sticking out from the hood. Depictions of “hooded animals” are quite common in the British Isles thanks to its pre-Christian Pagan beliefs which causes confusion when trying to track down the origin of this tradition since the first recorded account of this tradition appears in the 1800’s and scholars and folklore experts can’t seem to agree if

I am not sure what the majority of people thought about Rob Zombie’s ‘Halloween’ but I really enjoyed it (the sequel was…..ooh well). But I was surprised when rumors and then facts regarding yet another reboot came to fruition; however, I am gaining more and more interest in it based on the information we are getting. It will be based more on suspense and psychological fear than Zombie’s. And now we know that Nick Castle – the original Mike Meyers – will return to his role as a senior citizen. He is in his 70s and will be playing a Meyers who will be in his 60s. Castle has released a video of him walking on a treadmill…let’s just say that he does not walk like a 70 year old. He has quite they strut as he walks (donning his Mike Meyers mask) preparing to stalk his next victims. ‘Halloween’ is directed by David Gordon Green, written by Green and
