We first learned that the short film Lights Out would be adapted as a full length feature, written and directed by David F. Sandberg and produced by James Wan (The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2) back in June. The film has now entered post-production and will be released by New Line in July of 2016. In the feature film, a boy and his estranged sister are stalked by an evil entity that can only be seen when the lights are out. Lights Out will star Warm Bodies actress Teresa Palmer , Emily Alyn Lind (The Haunting in Connecticut 2), Alicia Vela-Bailey (Interstellar), Amiah Miller (Trafficked), Gabriel Bateman (Annabelle), Andi Osho (Night and Day), and Alexander DiPersia (I Am Legend). There is a bit of a difference between the plot of the short film and the feature film, but with Wan producing I have no doubt it will be great. A trailer for the full film has not yet been released, but

Bear Claw Production has announced that they are now in pre-production on their new film titled Eden Falls. The film about a freestyle skiing champion who will do anything to save the woman he loves. Eden Falls will be directed by Michael Coulombe, who penned the script along with Martin Rogers and horror veteran Victor Miller, who has received 3 Emmy Awards and is the creator/writer of the horror classic Friday the 13th. I spoke with Victor Miller about Eden Falls, and this is what he had to say: “EDEN FALLS is different from any kind of horror I have ever attempted. I teamed up with Michael and Martin and we used SKYPE to invent a concept and the screenplay itself. We made a conscientious effort to go where horror has never gone before and we came up with a tour de force which includes ferocious snowboarding, a true American hero and the most frightening neurosurgeon ever to carve his

The film is designed to manipulate our darkest psychological fears. The Blackout Experiments focuses on a group of friends whose experiences with a dark psycho-sexual horror experience develop into an obsession that consumes their lives and blurs the lines between reality and their paranoid fantasies. The shocking footage that explores the dark side of each of us, is 100% real. The documentary was directed and edited by Rich Fox, with Kris Curry serving as producer. The Blackout Experiments will debut at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

Most horror fans love a cheesy “B” creature feature from time to time, and with zombies being so popular it was just a matter of time before someone went and combined the two sub-genres and added crocs. The star of this film is a giant undead crocodile. Director Robert Elkins’ new film is titled Zombie Croc: Evil Has Been Summoned. In the film a team of researchers and a hunter known as “Crocodile Jack”, venture into the swamp to battle a thirty-five foot-long resurrected croc that has been eating the locals. After entering the swamp the group discovers that a Voodoo priest has not only raised the hungry beast, but has been collecting human zombies. Bayview Entertainment will unleash Zombie Croc on the world on February 9, 2016.

Reality vs. Bullshit The only fact about any of the Amityville Horror films is that the DeFeo family was murdered in their sleep inside the house on 112 Ocean Avenue. The real horror is what the surviving relatives of the murdered Defeo’s must endure every time one of these lousy films is made. Hollywood cynicism goes beyond making bad films and trying to pass them off as good or worse yet, classics. The real cynicism is from the studios that torture the DeFeo family and make a buck off a terrible situation. As a result, I wonder, has any studio that made these films ever donated a few posthumous bucks to the DeFeo family for their trouble? I’m not one for reparations, but many of these films invoke the DeFeo name. Maybe a scholarship or two set up in memory of the victims? A lot of people made a lot of money off this family’s tragedy. As a result, they
