WARNING! May Contain spoilers! The directing duo of Scott Beck and Bryan Woods bring us ‘Nightlight’, a tale of possession, suicide and five dumb kids exploring the woods, while playing idiotic games, like train dodging. This found footage film stars ‘The Social Network’ actress Shelby Young, as the main character Robin, along side Chloe Bridges (The Carrie Diaries), Carter Jenkins (Valentine’s Day), Mitch Hewer (Skins), Kyle Fain (End of Innocents) and Taylor Murphy from the ‘Scream’ series. Robin, the focus of the movie, joins a group of teenagers in the woods for a night of games and to get closer to one of the guys. The five teens head deep into a haunted forest to test their will by participating in a series of “flashlight games”. Love and Decay Volume #1 (Episodes 1-6 of the first season) by Rachel Higginson is a book I have been meaning to read for a while. It was recommended to me months ago by a reader during Women in Horror month and I’m just now getting the chance to circle back around to it. As of this post, the book is available for free on Kindle. (I seem to plug kindle a lot, but it’s what I use and I love the fact that I can read books online or on my cell phone with the FREE Kindle Reading App. If you like another medium feel free to recommend it in the comments or to me on Twitter!) The good news with this series is that it is already several volumes in the making, which means that unless you have a huge reading appetite you won’t have to wait a long time for the next installment. …Not unless you get

Little information has been released about the new ‘Friday the 13th’ movie that is being directed by David Bruckner (V/H/S) and written by Nick Antosca, who served as a writer for the ‘Hannibal Lecter’ series. Antosca has stated that the new movie will not be a sequel to the 2009 movie and will have different characters and be set in a different time period. It has been rumored that the film will take place in 1980’s, but that has not been confirmed. It had been rumored that it would be a found footage film. Brad Fuller (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), a producer for the 2016 film, has stated that it will in fact, NOT be found footage. I’m very happy to hear this, found footage may be considered a good, and cheap, alternative way to film, but in my opinion it’s over used and obnoxious. “I could just say that for a long time we were stalled…” Fuller continues (during

We have an update for fans of the ‘X-Files’. David Duchovny, returning for his role as Mulder, had some great things to say about the new script for the 2016 series during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. ” I just read it [the script] about an hour ago, and I started crying reading the first page,” Duchovny continues, “It was just so strange to see the names on the page. It had nothing to do with the script itself. It was just like, I’d been talking about this for a long time. We’d been planning it for a long time. It took a long time to get all the people in the same place and get the deal with Fox. So let’s say two years we’ve been talking about doing it. Now it’s the fun part. Now we actually get to do it. That was nice and strangely emotional for me, and I’ll have to figure out how to use

Lucy’s life seems pretty nice, she has a caring husband, a beautiful baby and a new home. She seems to have it all, until her and her husband, Wade, begin to see the spirits of a man, his wife and daughter. Lucy wants to help the family, but when she and Wade begin to be physically attacked, she doesn’t know what to do except to protect her baby. Nothing in this movie is what it seems. When everything comes to light in the last fifteen minutes of the ‘The Occupants’ , it makes you question everything you have seen in the entire movie, it’s a psychological twist you won’t see coming. I was very impressed with Cristin Milioti’s (The Wolf of Wall Street) portrayal of the main role of Lucy. Michael Rady (J. Edgar) plays the role of supporting husband. Holly Golden and Todd Alcott, who also directed, did a great job of creating a nice movie. The action and
