Stephen King’s Carrie is being adapted once again. With three adaptations of one of King’s most famous works already in existence, it was a bit of surprise when we learned via Collider that yeat another version is in the works. There is one difference, this time Carrie‘s getting a limited series from FX and MGM. There may be one change to the iconic character played in the past by Sissy Spacek, Angela Bettis, and Chloë Grace Moretz. Netflix’s adaptation of Joe Hill‘s best-selling graphic novel “Locke and Key” will be unleashed this February, to the delight of fans. Last week we shared the first image from the series, today we have the first teaser which includes the caption: “Sometimes the secrets have to burn.” The teaser unveiled by the series’ Twitter account tonight. In the coming-of-age series “After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. Continuing on with their presentation of the original Ultraman television episodes (the first two volumes of which I reviewed here), Mill Creek Entertainment brings us 1967’s Ultra Seven (which coincidentally is the Ultra series I’ve seen the most of thanks to TNT broadcasting dubbed episodes of the series in the mid-’90s). This time we are here to tell you that the MGM premium cable network Epix has ordered 10-episodes of “Jerusalem’s Lot” based on King’s Night Shift short story of the same name. The story, with connections to Salem’s Lot, takes place in the 1850s, in the fictional town of Preacher’s Corners in Cumberland County, Maine and is told through a series of letters and diary entries. Adrian Brody will star as Captain Charles Boone, who faces a series of troubles related to his family’s roots after moving to the town following the death of his wife. Orlando Jones who played the role of Mr. Nancy on the hit series “American Gods,” based on the Neil Gaiman novel, will not be returning for season 3. According to Jones, the series’ new showrunner Charles Eglee fired him because, in his opinion, the character isn’t right “for black America.” The news was shared via Jones’ Twitter account Saturday in an angry video alleging that Eglee decided that Orlando’s portrayal of the god sends “the wrong message for black America,” according to EW. For centuries, there has been one vampire that stands above all others, oozing a combination of horror and sex appeal, I’m of course talking about Dracula. The creators of “Sherlock” have resurrected the vampire for a new Netflix and BBC series starring Claes Bang (The Girl in the Spider’s Web). Today, we’ve got the new sexy, blood-drenched new BBC trailer and to be honest, it’s pretty damn hot. Don’t worry, it also has plenty of horror too. The three-episode 90-minute series, written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, is a co-production of Netflix and BBC and is based on Bram Stoker’s classic tale.
