Hulu Orders “North American Lake Monsters” Series

Hulu has ordered the eight-episode horror anthology series “North American Lake Monsters“, based on Nathan Ballingrud‘s collection of short stories. “The series will explore how encounters with vampires, fallen angels, and other monsters force Louisiana natives to re-examine their broken lives in what is being described as a contemporary horror anthology. The take will be an individual episodic anthology in line with Into the Dark rather than Castle Rock’s seasonal variety.” The series was created by Mary Laws (“Preacher”) who will serve as the series’ writer and executive producer. Lucan Toh will executive produce along with Babak Anvari who will be directing.

Hulu Boards “Zomboat” Series

Hulu and ITV have jumped aboard the “Zomboat“, a new U.K. series that will air on both British and American TVs, Variety reports. The story is set during the zombie apocalypse that has kicked off in the British city of Birmingham. Sisters Kat and Jo and their unlikely travel companions Sunny and Amar, flee the city by boat. As they travel along the canal friendships develop, alliances form, and romance blossoms, but not all is perfect. Along the way, they realize there’s no escaping the problems of life, even in a zombie apocalypse. The horror comedy stars Leah Brotherhead (“White Gold”), Hamza Jeetooa (“Doctor Who”), Ryan McKen (“White Dragon”), and “Downtown Abby” actress Cara Theobold. “Zomboat” will premiere on ITV2 this fall followed by its arrival on Hulu.

‘They Come Knocking’ In ‘Into The Dark’s’ Father’s Day Themed Episode

Hulu’s “Into the Dark” is back this June with a new terror-filled installment of the year-around holiday-themed series. In June’s episode, titled “They Come Knocking“, a father, after losing his wife to cancer, takes his two daughters on a road trip where he discovers that his family is in the crosshairs of terrifying supernatural beings. The episode stars Clayne Crawford, Josephine Langford, Lia Mchugh, and Robyn Lively, and was written by Shane and Carey Van Dyke. “They Come Knocking” is from director Adam Mason who was also behind “Into the Dark’s” April Fool’s feature “I’m Just F**king With You” (review), a twisted take on the holiday. Hulu Adapting Stephen King’s ‘The Eyes Of The Dragon’ For New Series

Stephen King adaptations are everywhere these days (not that we are complaining). The newest addition to the list is King’s 1984 novel The Eyes of the Dragon. Deadline is reporting that Hulu is developing a pilot for a potential series with Seth Grahame-Smith, who produced both IT and Child’s Play, set to pen the script and serve as show-runner. , The story is set in the fictional realm of Delain and is told from the perspective of an unknown narrator. The story’s villain is none other than Randall Flagg who is also featured in both King’s The Dark Tower and The Stand. . Director Greg Yaitanes Teases Season 2 Of “Castle Rock”

Greg Yaitanes who directed “Castle Rock‘s” the episode “The Queen” in the first season, is back in the director’s chair for the second season, which is now in production. Yaitanes will be directing two episodes this season, including the premiere of the J.J. Abrams-produced series. Season two will spend a lot of time in the nearby town of Jerusalem’s Lot and will delve into the origin story of Miserey character Annie Wilkes, played by Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield). May is approaching which means it’s almost time for the next episode of Hulu’s “Into the Dark”. May’s episode, titled “All That We Destroy”, is a tale about the lengths a mother will go to to protect her son. Warning: spoilers ahead The episode opens with a young man dressing a woman as she sleeps. Instantly, there’s a sinister feel. As Ashley (Aurora Perrineau), the young woman, comes around Spence (Israel Broussard) quickly loses his temper and attacks her, strangling her before he bashes her head on the floor. This is where we learn that the mother is a scientist and the girl is a clone that she keeps creating to fulfill her sons need to kill. As Ashley is reborn again and again she begins to remember her original death at the hands of Spence. That’s where things get tricky. Larry (Keir O’Donnell); a neurotic, extremely germophobic man, on the road to a wedding he has no desire to attend, books a room at the seedy Pink Motel and Lounge where the establishments bartender cum receptionist Chester (Hayes MacArthur) continuously engages him in bouts of April Fools ballbustery. Anyway, Larry eventually checks in and heads to his room to have a wank at photos of the bride to be (which someone films from the ventilation duct above). You see, our hero had a past relationship with the bride…a rather bad one…and while Chester fucks with him, he in turn trolls the bride’s wedding website incessantly under an online alias. Cast And More Revealed For Season 2 Of “Castle Rock”

Hulu brought Stephen King‘s cinematic universe to life with the anthology series “Castle Rock“. After a successful first season the series was renewed and now the first details of season two have begun to surface including several cast members, who they will be playing, and a few other tidbits. Tim Robbins makes his return to the King universe after starring in the classic adaptation Shawshank Redemption. He will play Reginald “Pop” Merrill, a character from The Sun Dog, part of King’s 1990 Past Midnight collection. In “Castle Rock” Pop is at odds with is crime family and he’s dying. John “Ace” Merrill is taking over his uncle Pop’s business and threatening the peace with Jerusalem’s Lot and his brother’s Alan and Chris. Dario Argento Has Been Quietly Working On A New Horror Film

For the past two years, Master of Horror Dario Argento (Suspiria) has been quietly working on a new horror movie that will be released in eight episodes and today, we have a few details.
