A Picture Tells A Story: Review of ‘Fatal Frame’ (‘Gekijōban Zero’)

Any gamer worth their callused thumbs and carpel tunnel will tell you one of the best horror video games ever made would be the Fatal Frame series. Fatal Frame otherwise known as Zero in Japan and Project Zero in Europe is a horror video game series that’s deeply rooted in Japanese culture and folklore putting players against violent ghosts and the only weapon you have is an old camera with magical powers. Sounds silly, but the games are anything but, I’ve played many horror video games over the years and watched many horror movies as well but none of them have literally haunted my dreams like Fatal Frame. Needless to say, when I heard they were making a movie based off the first game I squeed how no man should but alas, the film was canceled which was possibly a good thing since it may have been whitewashed beyond recognition. I found out sometime later that eventually there was a

Watch This Trailer ‘Before We Vanish’

The trailer has just been released for Before We Vanish from acclaimed horror director Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Cure, Pulse). It has been said that the film “reinvents the alien movie as a unique and profoundly human tale of love and mystery.” In the film, “three aliens travel to Earth on a reconnaissance mission in preparation for a mass invasion. Having taken possession of human bodies, the visitors rob the hosts of their essence – good, evil, property, family, belonging – leaving only hollow shells, which are all but unrecognizable to their loved ones. Equally hilarious, thrilling, and profound, Before We Vanish reminds audiences of the continued strength of one of Japanese cinema’s most unique auteurs – and the value of the human spirit.” Masami Nagasawa (Godzilla: Final Wars), Ryuhei Matsuda (The Raid 2), Mahiro Takasugi, Yuri Tsunematsu, and Hiroki Hasegawa (Shin Godzilla) star. Before We Vanish opens in cinemas on February 2, 2018.

Movie Review: Cannibal Farm is A Tasty Treat For Horror Hounds!

Look here creeps and ghouls, ol’ XIII knows it’s wrong to judge a book (or fright flick) by it’s cover, but come the F on. That’s Leatherface, and I don’t care what you call this film, I’m willin’ to bet demons to donuts that this is the biggest Texas Chainsaw Massacre rip off that’s ever come down the putrid pike. All I can say is stick around to see if your’s cruelly’s instincts are as sharp as usual… Cannibal Farm concerns a bickering British family who heads out on a road trip to a remote rural location (ahh…so it’s The Hills Have Eyes European Tour…my mistake…and before you even start your crap, yes I know Hills was partially based on a real European cannibal clan). Along the way they run into a cider/lemonade salesman (this guy is worth the price of admission alone, trust me…and he gets plenty of screen time as he is more than he appears) before settling

Fans of the original 1973 or the flop 2006 remake of The Wicker Man can now scream as loud as they want at Alton Towers Resort’s upcoming roller coaster of the same name. On January 8th, Alton Towers announced the new ride and the opening date, as it’s now under construction. Alton Towers says the ride will be ready in time for the park’s season opening in the spring in Alton, Staffordshire, England. The roller coaster will be the first wooden roller coaster built in the UK in 21 years with the concept of fusing fire and wood, yes, fire. That aspect of the ride has raised some concerns for ride goers on social media saying that they don’t think it’s a good idea. Contrary to Alton Towers’ statement, this is not the first time a wooden roller coaster was fused with fire. The company building the ride, Great Coasters International, has made two roller coasters in the past that
