Documentary ’30 Years Of Garbage: The Garbage Pail Kids Story’ Coming This August

If you are an ’80s kid you will have no problem remembering the Garbage Pail Kids. Now, a documentary is headed our way later this month that will explore the story behind those gross characters that were so near and dear to our hearts, from directors Jeff Zapata and Joe Simko. The Garbage Pail Kids were everywhere in the 80s. You might remember the movie or the cartoon, the trading cards, the dolls, or all of the other merchandise. I’ll be honest, I had quite the collection of trading cards back in the day and to my mother’s dismay, I wore out my VHS copy of the movie. Honestly, what kid could resist characters like Adam Bomb, Dead Ted, Nat Nerd, Nervous Rex, Sicky Vicky, Ali Gator, and One-Eyed Jack? Let’s not forget Donald Dump, the character based on Donald Trump. From the Press Release: West Hollywood, California (Tuesday, August 8th) – Indican Pictures is set to release the pivotal

Movie Review: ‘Annabelle: Creation’ Crafts A Truly Creepy Origin Tale

Samuel Mullins worked as a toy-maker, and his specialty was crafting custom dolls. He worked from a shop situated in a building that lay adjacent to the home he shared with his wife Esther and their young daughter, Annabelle. One of his creations was a very distinctive looking doll, which was intended to be a limited edition of only 100. However, following the tragic death of young Annabelle, in a tragic accident, only one of these dolls would ever exist – the one he completed just prior to her death. Fast forward 12 years, as we join a group of orphaned girls accompanied by a nun, who are traveling to their new accommodations. The orphanage they previously called home has closed and now Samuel and his wife Esther, who is now a bed ridden invalid, are offering the displaced young women lodgings in their spacious, secluded farm house. Prior to their guests’ arrival, the house was filled with very little

Is ‘The Dark Tower’ Really That Bad?

No, it’s not…..but probably only if you already know the source material. The Dark Tower might seriously be the only movie I ever thought was actually too short. I really do enjoy a concise piece of cinema; Lord of the Rings withstanding, a pretty standard mistake in films, both masterpieces and massacred pieces, is a run time that’s just too long. The infamous bar scene in Inglorious Basterds, the highway opening of Manos: Hands of Fate, pretty much the entirety of The Room; many films, hits and shits alike, often could use a little more time in the cutting room, whether it be the result of overindulgent directors or expensive set pieces the studio doesn’t want to go to waste. However this is not so in The Dark Tower, which is without a doubt one of the most hopelessly confusing films in modern memory. Guess it wasn’t the greatest idea to condense seven novels into 95 minutes (and thats including

Review: ‘Death House’ Is A Dark Twisted Discent Into Hell (In A Good Way)

The highly anticipated genre film Death House, from director Harrison Smith, is approaching its fall release and we’ve reviewed it. Before we get into a review of the film, you should know about the story behind the movie. Originally, the script was penned by Texas Chainsaw Massacre Actor and genre icon Gunnar Hansen. Smith re-wrote the script, keeping Hansen’s vision intact. Smith also got the okay on the script from Hansen just before he passed away. Death House was a big undertaking. No other film in the history of horror has had such an enormous and impressive cast of well known genre actors. The cast list reads like a who’s who of horror and includes stars like Danny Trejo (Machete Kills), Tony Todd (Candyman), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Dee Wallace (Cujo), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects), Sid Haig (The Devil’s Rejects), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Barbara Crampton (We Are Still Here), Cody Longo
