The yearly Black Friday sales are only a week away. It’s perfect timing for Deadline to announces that a new sci-fi horror film is aiming to turn the corporate holiday into a nightmare of epic proportions. The first of the cast has been announced for Black Friday including the Evil Dead franchise’s oh so groovy Bruce Campbell and Devon Sawa, who we know from Idle Hands and Final Destination. Spawn‘s Michael Jai White is also starring. Directed by Casey Tebo, Black Friday also features Ivana Baquren, Stephen Peck, and Ryan Lee. The script was penned by Andy Greskoviak. “Set on the busiest shopping night of the year, Black Friday, the story follows a group of disgruntled toy store employees who have to defend themselves from legions of holiday shoppers when a mysterious alien parasite sends them on a murderous rampage.” Production on Black Friday began yesterday in Boston.

Megan Is Missing is about a popular 14-year-old girl named Megan (Rachael Quinn) and her social outcast friend Amy (Amber Perkins) and their social lives on and off social media which goes out of control after Megan goes to meet a 17-year-old boy named Josh who she’s been chatting with online and then goes missing. Amy then looks on the dark web and discovers that Megan has appeared on torture porn sites and reports it to the authorities shortly before she goes missing herself. The Elsewhere tells the story of Emma (Shanda Renee), a struggling writer who begins her day by receiving incredible news about her latest story. Upon hearing the incredible news, her sister Sharon throws an impromptu celebration party for her later that night. Soon after arriving, Emma runs into an ex-boyfriend, Brad, who shows up uninvited and reminding her why they are no longer dating. At the height of the party, Emma is approached by a suave film executive, Steven, who appears to have ulterior motives for attending, but before his true intentions are known, their conversation is interrupted by a mysterious young woman named Jasmine. The party lasts well into the night with Emma being the center of attention for each of these individuals. The next morning finds Emma alone in her bedroom unable to speak or hear.
