Controversial Film ‘Flay’ Finally Has A Release Date

Phame Factory‘s controversial indie film Flay finally has a release date. The independent production company successfully took on Sony and headed to court after Sony attempted to stop their movie Flay from being released. Flay, originally due for release in 2017, tells of a young woman who goes up against a malevolent faceless spirit. Sony claimed Phame Factory’s film was a rip-off of the Slender Man legend, which the studio believed they had exclusive rights to. As a result of the messy legal tangle, writer and producer Eric Pham opted not to release the film until he met the studio in court. Sony, whose Slender Man movie was coming up for release, argued that Flay‘s villain was too similar to Slender Man (the Slender Man movie was released in August 2018). I’m now very happy to say that we obtained a very favorable resolution of this lawsuit and finally have the legal right to release our feature film”, says Eric

One of the biggest horror film franchises of the decade will soon begin filming its third film. I’m of course talking about The Conjuring franchise which became an entire universe. James Wan won’t be directing The Conjuring 3. Instead, we are left in the capable hands of Michael Chaves who is about to deliver his haunting tale The Curse of La Llorona to theaters this April. Hand-picked by Wan to direct, Chaves’s Conjuring 3 is said to be connected to the case of Bill Ramsey also known as The Southend Werewolf, which is based on a true story. Ramsey, a husband, and father of three from Essex, England, suddenly began to believe he was possessed by a demon that manifested as a wolf or a werewolf. Ramsey was said to have developed an inhuman strength, he growled, bared his teeth, and that he walked with hunched shoulders.
