The ‘Jigsaw’ Trailer Is Here And It Is Everything We Had Hoped For

The trailer for the eighth film in the Saw franchise, Jigsaw, is finally here and it is insane. Jigsaw looks to me the most intense film of the franchise since the original film was release in 2004. In the film, bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man, John Kramer (Tobin Bell), the man known as Jigsaw. The problem is, Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade. The duo of Michael and Peter Spierig will be in the director’s chairs for the film penned by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger. The Spierigs are also behind the upcoming genre films Winchester and The Dark Crystal sequel. Mandela Van Peebles, Hannah Anderson, Laura Vandervoort, Callum Keith Rennie, Brittany Allen, Hannah Anderson, Matt Passmore, Josiah Black, Michael Bolsvert, Shaquan Lewis, and James Gomez will co-star in the film guaranteed to be as gruesome as its predecessors. First Official Trailer For Chilling Thriller, ‘The Snowman’

A snowman is usually an innocuous sign of a significant winter snowfall and childhood merriment. However, when the name is attached to a serial killer whose murders tend to coincide with the first snow of the year, it obviously takes on a whole new sinister meaning. The Snowman is a thriller adapted from the book of the same name, written by Jo Nesbø. The story follows Norwegian detective Harry Hole’s investigation into a missing woman, who has vanished leaving no trace except for her pink scarf which is draped around the neck of an ominous looking snowman. When he discovers similarities between this case and some cold case files, Harry determines that Norway has its first official serial killer. Now Harry and his team are on the hunt to discover the identity of the killer before this new case goes cold as well. The Snowman is directed by Tomas Alfredson and stars Michael Fassbender as Harry Hole. The supporting cast

Is ‘The Shape Of Water’ Connected To ‘The Creature From The Black Lagoon’?

The trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water has arrived, revealing a monster that looks very familiar. In the film, co-written by Vanessa Taylor, an other-worldly fairy tale, is set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1963. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. I can’t help but wonder if it is actually a branch-off about the 1954 classic Creature from the Black Lagoon. Not only does the creature look like the iconic Universal monster, it is being described the same way. One example, Michael Shannon’s character “Strickland”, while talking to another character about the creature states, “…the natives in the Amazon worshiped it like a god.” Sound familiar? In the original Creature from the Black Lagoon, a team of scientists in the
