We reported last month that The Crow reboot was not only moving forward and has found its star. It is set to start production. Word is, Aquaman hunk Jason Momoa will be playing the role of Eric Draven, originally played by Brandon Lee.
Momoa shared a photo on his Instagram account of him sharing a beer with Corin Hardy, who is set to direct, that seems to confirm that he will play the resurrected man led by a raven.
IMDb now has a listing for The Crow with Momoa as the lead and Hardy directing from the script written by Nick Cave and Cliff Dorfman.
News came from Relativity, via TheWrap, earlier today that The Crow will being filming as early as January. It seems that after several speed-bumps the film might actually happen this time.
Wondering what Momoa would look like as Draven? We just happen to a photo of him dressed in the signature black and white makeup right here.
Jason Momoa has played a variety of roles in films and series, ranging from Conan the Barbarian, Stargate: Atlantis, Game of Thrones, the Native American series Red Road, the werewolf film Wolves, and Road To Paloma, just to name a few. He’s a very talented actor. I’m interested to see what his version of the iconic character is like.
