The season 6 finale of The Walking Dead ended in a major cliffhanger, with Rick and much of the group on their knees in the mud. Moments before we were introduced to Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan), a major villain from the comics. In the episode’s final moments Negan subjected the group to a twisted game of “Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe” to decide whose head he would bash in. Fans were upset knowing they would have to wait until October to find who his victim is. The Walking Dead is going the extra mile to prevent spoilers from being leaked by filming 11 separate character to deaths. Yes, we know, Glenn dies in the comics, but we don’t know for sure he’d be chosen. It would not be the first time the people at AMC have changed the story to suit the series. Everyone has a theory. But we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
The first image from season 7 has been unveiled via EW. In it. Negan is pointing to someone with his barbed-wire-wrapped-bat nicknamed Lucille. Negan looks a bit to happy for my taste. Director/executive producer Greg Nicotero has confirmed to EW that victim will definitely be revealed in the season 7 premiere (thankfully).
Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of information come to light for this season. We have reported that two new actresses will be joining the cast, and that four of the cast from season 6 have been moved from having reoccurring roles to series regulars, including Negan. We also told you that Ezekiel and Shiva will be making an appearance this season.
Now, we are counting down to the season’s first trailer which will premiere at the San Diego Comic Con next week, Friday July 22, during The Walking Dead panel. The trailer will spread like wildfire on the internet moments later. Don’t worry. We will be sharing it the second it’s available.
