Movie Review: ‘Afraid’ Starring “The Walking Dead’s” Alanna Masterson

Jason Golberg, the co-creator of prank series “Punk’d”, makes his directorial debut with Afraid, starring “The Walking Dead’s” Alanna Masterson and George Byrne. The film opens with a screen filled with twelve security channels. This where I should explain that the entire film is shown from security camera feeds inside and outside of a remote cabin, which often leaves the cast’s faces blurry. After the couple arrives we learn that Masterson’s character has chosen a college overseas and her boyfriend (Byrne) is trying everything in his power to stop her from leaving, which comes across in my opinion as pathetic, not romantic. He’s way too desperate. Throughout the movie we see computer screens of phone numbers be cloned and someone messaging Masterson’s character uncovering some bad deeds she has committed. When someone begins to leave messages on the walls of her room and stalk the couple the action begins (if that’s what you want to call it). We only get

Sometimes, the monsters we create in our imagination are not nearly as frightening as the beasts that lurk outside in the real world. Travel Channel‘s new Series “Monster Encounters” will introduce viewers to some of those nightmarish, deadly creatures. Wildlife expert Casey Anderson is not afraid to get dangerously close to the largest and fiercest creatures on the planet. In Travel Channel’s new series his mission is to track down and document evidence of animals so large, or unusual, that they defy belief. Employing the latest technologies and his lifetime of wildlife experience, Anderson travels to remote corners of the earth in search of elusive creatures. Throughout the eight hour-long episodes, he leaves no stone unturned, collecting clues and connecting the dots until he gets up-close and personal with the beasts he seeks. New ‘Halloween’ Trailer Is Shot Documentary Style

The new trailer for Halloween is shot as if it is from a crime documentary and we’re digging it. It’s fitting, seeing that the David Gordan Green-directed movie features a documentary crew working making a feature about the masked killer. “Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.” “A British documentary crew comes to the States to visit Michael in prison for a retrospective of the maniac’s night of terror — but their project becomes way more interesting when Myers escapes custody, retrieves his signature mask and seeks revenge on Laurie, with others naturally being part of his impressive career body count along the way. In the decades following the fateful Halloween night that forever altered the former babysitter’s life, Laurie has armed and prepped herself for Michael’s inevitable return — to the detriment of her family, including
