Movie Review: ‘WTF!’…Yeah, That’s Kinda How I Felt.

Rachel is a young woman who has lived through an ordeal that would leave most people completely shattered. During a gathering with a group of friends, a brutal bloody massacre occurred, with Rachel emerging as the lone survivor. A few years have since passed, and some would say that time heals all wounds. It just so happens that Spring Break is almost upon her and her new group of friends. And if there are any of those old demons lurking in her subconscious, perhaps a getaway with said friends would be just what the doctor ordered. Even her brother is in tow, acting as sort of a security blanket. So the group packs up their party favors and other necessities, and hit the road to the swanky, secluded vacation home of the deceased uncle that belonged to one of Rachel’s friends, for a relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle and crowded beaches of the average spring break. I

No Giant Spider For ‘IT’ Remake

The original IT miniseries had some strong elements, but it also had some weaker ones, perhaps most memorably the animatronic abomination that was Pennywise’s final form. Taking the form of a giant spider that wouldn’t look out of place in an episode of Goosebumps, much of the horror and tension of the previous 3 hours is replaced with laughter and befuddlement. Yes, the spider was in the book, but not everything that works on the written page works on the screen. That’s certainly evident here. Thankfully Bloody-Disgusting has reported that there will in fact be no arachnid in the upcoming remake. “Muschietti’s version will show more of Pennywise adapting into various forms that are based on the children’s individual fears. However, it will not show Pennywise as a giant spider like it did in the 1990 miniseries adaptation.” As someone who loved the novel but hated the mini-series (with the exception of Tim Curry) this is good news. While the

Warner Bros. In Talks With Two Stars For The ‘Little Shop Of Horror’ Remake

Last year, we reported that Warner Bros. was remaking The Little Shop of Horrors with Arrow’s Greg Berlanti in the director’s chair. Based on Frank Oz’s 1986 movie-musical, the new script was penned by Matthew Robinson (Black Box). According to The Hashtag Show, the studio is now circling two well known actors for the lead roles of Seymour and Audrey, Josh Gad, who recently played LeFou in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Pitch Perfect actress Rebel Wilson. While the two musically talented actors have not officially signed the studio is reporting that they are very interested. In the original film, Rick Moranis starred as Seymour Krelborn, a down-on-his luck florist who comes across a strange plant who has a taste for blood. While raising the ever growing and always hungry plant, he watches as the woman he loves, Audrey, is mistreated by her boyfriend (Steve Martin). Little Shop of Horrors is one of my favorite horror-comedy-musicals. While I find

‘The X-Files: Cold Cases’-The Truth Is STILL Out There…In An Audiobook

The X-Files: Cold Cases is a new full-cast audio drama that launched on July 18. Last year, fans were treated to a long awaited return of the hit sci-fi show that had us all looking to the skies. The X-Files returned with 6 new episodes, and while I enjoyed them all, I felt like 6 was just enough to get us all excited again and then leave us hanging. That’s why I was thrilled to learn that Audible was releasing a new audiobook this summer set in the X-Files Universe. It’s not just any audiobook, though. X-Files: Cold Cases is a full cast drama, so you’re getting an entire production, like a modern version of the old time radio shows from the 30s and 40s. Here’s the best part, though—the cast is comprised of our favorite actors from the actual TV show! David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their roles as Mulder and Scully, Mitch Pileggi returns as Walter Skinner,

‘Polaroid’ Is Taking Longer To Develop Than Expected – Film Delayed

If you have been looking forward to the August release of Polaroid, from the producers of The Ring and The Grudge, you are about to be disappointed. Dimension Films has announced that the supernatural film needs a little more time to develop and won’t make its scheduled release date of August 25th.
