Horror Fuel Invades Days Of The Dead Atlanta 2017
I spent this past weekend (Feb 3- 5) at the Days of the Dead convention in Atlanta. This is the second DOTD I have attended in the past few years and once again, it did not disappoint. First, I would like to tell you about my favorite part of the convention. No, it’s not the parties, or the other events, it is the people. To say that horror fans are the best would be an understatement. You will not find a friendlier group of people. Stand by a booth, in a line, by an elevator, or outside smoking and in with seconds there is a conversation happening. It is nothing to be asked “How far did you traveled?”, “Are you having fun?”, “Did you see….?”. As for the celebs, every single celebrity I talked to was pleasant. Some were as excited about the convention as I was. No joke, Derek Mears, who has played Jason, the Predator, and more, was

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday – Dee Wallace
Hello my Little Monsters, and thank you for joining me once again. As you may well know, it’s Women in Horror Month. And while it’s great that women heave a month during which we celebrate their substantial contribution to the horror genre, I truly believe that they should always be celebrated. So going forward on Wednesdays I will throw a spotlight on one of our wonderful women of horror. Today I’m going to start with my first ever TRUE crush – Dee Wallace (swoons). For me the spring of 1982 was when I first became aware of Ms. Wallace. Granted the summer of this year would also be when she unknowingly harbored a alien being in her home in a little movie called E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. And even though this is when I first started crushing on her, it wasn’t the movie I first had seen her in. Actually, I was in second grade, and during spring break while watching

Friday The 13th’s Derek Mears Cast In New Supernatural Series ‘Midnight, Texas’
NBC/Universal’s new series ‘Midnight, Texas’ will soon be premiering. The supernatural series has now added ‘Friday the 13th’ actor Derek Mears to its already impressive cast. Mears is known for his roles in ‘Friday the 13th (2009), Predators (2010), Hatchet, as Stavarin in ‘Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead’, and many more. While his character is still unlisted on IMDb, I have it from a reliable source (Mears told me himself) that he will appear in at least one episode. ‘Midnight, Texas’, an adaption of Charlaine Harris’ novels, is closely tied to ‘True Blood’. There is even a good chance that the two series will have a cross-over at some point. Vampires, witches, werewolves and the supernatural will be central to the story of the new show. While it looks normal from the outside, Midnight is a safe haven for all supernatural beings, as well as humans, fortune tellers and other outcasts. In the town your neighbor could be a

World War Z 2 Is Dead (At Least For Now)
Following the removal of ‘Friday the 13th‘ from Paramount’s schedule, another film has been put on hold indefinitely, ‘World War Z‘. But that’s not much of a surprise. There has been no news about ‘WWZ 2’ in a long time. The original release date had been announced as June 9, 2017, but with that being only a few months away and with it not in filming, there was no way the could have been finished by that time. The film does not even have a director or cast yet, save for Brad Pitt reportedly returning for the sequel. Hopefully, everything will be worked out and the film will get back on track. But we will keep you posted. The first film follows Gerry Lane (Pitt), former United Nations employee, as he traverses the world in a race against time to stop the zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments threatening to destroy humanity.
