We are sorry to have to inform you all of this, but ‘Friday the 13th‘, one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, has been pulled from Paramount’s release schedule. Casting had already begun for the roles of young Jason and his father Elias Voorhees, but there is no word if that will continue or be put on hold as well. Deadline is reporting that ‘Mother’, from director Darren Aronosfky, will take the place of ‘Friday the 13th’ on the schedule. The site is saying that the reason for the halt in production is that Paramount is not happy with ‘Rings” Box Office results on its opening weekend. ‘Mother’, a drama starring Jennifer Lawrence, centers on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.
