From director G-Hey Kim and writer, Courtney Ellum comes the indie horror film Don’t Click. Starring Valter Skarsgard, Mark Koufos, and Catherine Howard, the film centers on twenty-one-year-old Josh (Skarsgard) and his roommate/best friend, Zane (Koufos). Josh tries to talk Zane into joining him at a party, but Zane declines the invitation, claiming he has to study but instead decides to surf the web for some new porn. A sexually graphic pop-up catches Zane’s attention; he can’t take his eyes off the screen… what kind of porn is this? He takes the bait— he clicks. Later that night, Josh comes back to an empty apartment. Zane’s laptop is still open but there’s no sign of Zane… something doesn’t feel right. Game Review: There’s Hope With ‘Little Hope’

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, and a massive thank you to Bandai Namco for sending me a copy of Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope the sequel to the hit game, Man of Medan. This third-person horror experience is pretty much an interactive movie where the choices you make will affect the characters in the story and will determine who lives and who dies. Little Hope follows four college students and their professor who while on a field trip got stranded after their bus got into an accident while being re-routed through the ghost town of Little Hope, once there, the group soon begin to notice that the past still haunts the town… Onto the game itself! The first thing I noticed right away is the animation of Little Hope is way better than Man of Medan as there was a lot of screen tearing and slow frame rate but it’s silky smooth this time around! On the subject of graphics, the art and

31 Days Of Anime Horror Part 31: ‘Ghost Stories’

It’s Halloween and it’s time to get into the spirit of the day and obviously nothing gets you into the Halloween mood better than horror. Unfortunately when it comes to most live-action horror films, there’s only so much that can be done and shown, but thankfully of all things, Anime can cross the line with story, gore, and intriguing storytelling. So for every day this month, I was featuring unique Animes that fit the horror genre that you can most likely find on any streaming service. It all came down to this special anime that gathered a cult following for the most surprising reasons; I’m talking about Ghost Stories. Ghost Stories (2000) is a show about a sister and her little brother who just moved into the town where their late mother grew up and started to attend the same school she did. They meet up with new friends and investigated the rumors of the old schoolhouse being haunted which

This Is Halloween: The Origins And History Of Our Favorite Holiday

Halloween is our favorite holiday, but have you ever wondered how it came to be? Let us fill you in. The holiday known as Halloween originated with two separate festivals, the Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced Sow-en) and the Christian’s All Saints Day. Celts from Britain and Ireland celebrated “Samhain” (Summer’s End) as far back as 2,000 years ago. This was the time when they held festivals celebrating the dead, the harvest, and the beginning of the new year (November 1st). The Celts believed that on the night before the new year the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead was at its thinnest. On that night it was believed that the dead returned as ghosts. At sun-down people donned costumes and masks, huge bonfires were lit, people gathered around with many dancing around the fire, as sacrifices were made. All to pay tribute to the Celtic deities. After the celebration, each family took

Blu-ray Review: Shock Treatment (1973)

Hélène Masson (Annie Girardot) is a rich-ass middle-aged woman who feels like she’s aging like a plop of dog shit on a hot August sidewalk at the ripe, jolly ol’ age of 38! This gives her a case of the frowns, so she heads off to the Devilers Clinic (nothing ominous in that name… why not just call it Satan’s Hospital), a posh New Age style clinic located on the beautiful French coast (vividly captured by cinematography courtesy of Jacques Robin) recommended to her by her pal Gérôme Savignat (Robert Hirsch). Before long, our heroine is doin’ the ol sexual fucking with the clinic’s namesake, Dr. Devilers himself (Alain Delon)… but a spate of disappearing servants, and the questionable suicide of Gérôme has her second guessing the dashing doc, even if his treatments are making her feel like fried gold! Copious amounts of nudity ensue. Directed by Alain Jessua, Shock Treatment is a slow-burn peak behind the curtain of the
