Mike Flanagan Teases ‘Haunting of Bly Manor’ Scarier Than ‘Hill House’

Following the massive success of “The Haunting of Hill House,” Mike Flanagan and Netflix are gearing up for the series’ second season “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” inspired by Henry James’ novella The Turn of the Screw. During a talk with Birth.Movies.Death Flanagan reveals that this season will be “unbelievably scary.” For Henry James fans, it’s going to be pretty wild, and for people who aren’t familiar with his work, it’s going to be unbelievably scary. I already think it’s much scarier than season one, so I’m very excited about it,” Flanagan said. Flanagan also teased that there will be a little different from the novella. We’re looking at all the ghost stories of Henry James as the jumping-off point for the season, so it very much is a whole new deal. It’s a cool way to expand on some of the things I loved about season one, but within the framework of a new story, without having to be

Filming has wrapped on director Mike Flanagan‘s Stephen King adaptation Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining. Stephen King is incomparable,” the Newton Brothers said. “Working with Mike is an incredible honor every time. The material he works with, the stories he tells and adapts, the talent, the crew, the producers … everyone involved brings their A-game every time and it inspires us to create the absolute best score for the film that we possibly can. Warner Bros. has now announced that filming has officially wrapped on Mike Flanagan‘s Doctor Sleep, the sequel to Stephen King‘s The Shining. So that’s a wrap on DOCTOR SLEEP! It’s been a long, crazy, truly unique experience. I read the novel as soon as it came out back in 2013, fascinated and moved by the epic story of Dan Torrance and Abra Stone, but I never imagined for a moment that I’d be the person to bring it to the big screen. It’s been an honor to spend the last five months with this fantastic cast and crew, and to be trusted with Stephen King’s extraordinary story. One of the highlights of my career, without a doubt.” Flangan said. “Shine on, everyone. Shine on.“ Ewan McGregor stars as adult Danny Torrance with Alex Essoe playing the role of Wendy Torrance. Carl Lumby, Kyliegh Curran, Bruce Greenwood, Rebecca Ferguson, Alyn Lind, and Jocelin Donahue also star. Jacob Tremblay plays the role

Mike Flanagan’s Adaptation Of King’s ‘Doctor Sleep’ Enters Development

Stephen King’s adaptations have been everywhere over the past few years, not that we are complaining. That trend shows no sign of ending anytime soon. He has become a reflection of his father, with a lingering rage bubbling under the surface. Drinking numbs his pain and his “shine”, but his powers return when he chooses sobriety and begins using his gift to help those dying at a hospice. He forms a psychic connection with a young girl who also has abilities, and who has
