Sequel To ‘A Quiet Place’ Snags A Release Date

A Quiet Place was a huge box office hit, so it’s was no surprise when a sequel was announced back in April. Paramount has now revealed that the sequel is set for a 2020 release. During a conversation with Collider, Platinum Dunes’ Andrew Form recently gave an update and stated that they do not want to rush making the “special” film and are determined to make the sequel the best it can be. “Oh [Krasinski is] definitely involved. We’re lucky on this one,” Form said. “I’ve had movies where the studio says to you, ‘Here’s your date. Let’s go!’ and on this one we’re not rushing anything, which is amazing. So we’re gonna take our time, we’re gonna figure out where to go, but there is no rush on it and we’re just starting to talk about it. Plot Details And Cast Revealed For “The Purge” TV Series

Fans have been eagerly awaiting news about USA and Syfy’s series adaptation of The Purge. New details have now come to light thanks to creator James DeMonaco’s discussion with EW. Executive producer Jason Blum already revealed that show will open with “an entirely new chapter in America’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness,” one that will “reveal to the fans what happens the other 364 days of the year and how that law affects people.” DeMonaco has clarified that the series is not all set on the night of the annual Purge. Producers Of ‘Duke Nukem’ Adaptation Give An Update

Back in January, we reported that Paramount and Platinum Dunes are teaming up for the live-action adaptation of the Duke Nukem video game starring WWE’s John Cena as the bad ass title character who appeared in 18 games released on multiple platforms beginning in 1991. In an update earlier this week, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form of Platinum Dunes spilled a few details to Cinema Blend, including that the tone of the film is extremely important to them. An Update On New Line’s ‘Friday The 13th’ Reboot

Just as production was set to begin on a new Friday the 13th reboot from director Breck Eisner (The Crazies), the brakes were hit. Not much has been said about the situation, until now. Rights to the franchise are set to revert back to New Line sometime next year. But a lawsuit from the original film’s writer Victor Miller (interview) may cause problems for the studio. ArrowInTheHead.com recently talked with Platinum Dunes producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller about the situation. Michael Bay And Jason Blum To Produce ‘The Purge 4’

It has become a tradition that a new film for The Purge franchise arrives in theaters every Independence Day. Next year will be no different. The fourth film of the franchise has now entered development with James DeManaco once again writing the script. Part 4 will be a little different from the previous films, the still unnamed movie will be a prequel. After three films we will finally learn exactly how it all began. While the cast has yet to be announced, we do know that Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Sebastian Lemercier will be producing. The Purge 4 is set to open in theaters on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. We’ll keep you posted as this film develops alongside the new Purge television series.

A New Film Is In The Works For THE PURGE Franchise

We recently reported that The Purge franchise is being developed into a television series. Today, we have more news on the film franchise. Have you ever wondered how The Purge began? The fourth film of the franchise will answer that. That’s right, we are getting a Purge prequel. We are going back to the very beginning to learn how the deadly, lawless night began. Franchise creator James DeMonaco had this to say about the prequel: I would actually go back and I would try to talk about how it all started. That seems the natural next chapter in this, is to say, ‘Alright, we’ve done this trilogy. We see how it got to this point of someone trying to end it – this presidential figure. Now let’s go back and see how the fuck all this came about.’ How did this country get to a place where we were now accepting this kind of atrocity, this terrible thing, each year?

John Krasinski And Emily Blunt Enter ‘A Quiet Place’

Image: eonline.com Real-life lovebirds John Krasinski (Jack Ryan, The Office) and Emily Blunt (Sicario, The Girl on the Train), will co-star for the first time together in the supernatural thriller A Quiet Place. Not only will Krasinski co-star alongside his wife, he will also write and direct the project. Scott Beck and Bryan Woods penned the first draft of the script. Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form will be producing A Quiet Place. Krasinski will serve as co-executive producer with and Woods and Beck, according to Variety. So far, there are no plot details, but we do know that production is scheduled for this fall.

Get Ready, We Are Going To ‘Purge’ Again – A New Sequel Coming

Universal Pictures has just announced that James DeMonaco is gearing up to bring genre fans another night of brutality, crime and murder in the fourth installment of ‘The Purge’. Right now details are scarce but we do know that producers Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, Michael Bay, Sébastiaen K. Lemercier and Andrew Form will be returning for the film, which will land in theaters on July 4, 2018. So far there has been no word about the cast or if Frank Grillo will return. In the last sequel, titled ‘The Purge: Election Year‘, Leo Barnes (Grillo) serves as head of security for presidential candidate Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell).
