‘Annabelle’ Is Back For Third Film

Last week New Line Cinema scheduled an untitled Conjuring movie was scheduled for a July 3, 2019 release. Now, it has come to light that the untitled film is actually a third Annabelle movie, thanks to THR. Gary Dauberman, who has been the writer behind the Annabelle franchise will be making his directorial debut with the movie. James Wan’s Atomic Monster and Safran will be producing the new movie. The Annabelle movie series is a spin-off of James Wan’s The Conjuring that spawned The Conjuring 2 as well as a third film which is in development. The Conjuring universe continues to expand with The Nun, opening in theaters on September 7, 2018, followed by The Crooked Man.

‘The Conjuring’ Universe Adds New Film Next Summer

James Wan’s The Conjuring universe continues to expand with The Nun approaching its release. Today, news has come that another still untitled film for the franchise is set for a July 3, 2019, release. We already know that The Conjuring 3 and The Crooked Man are in the works, so this could be either of the two or something completely different. The truth is, we’re just going to have to wait until more information is released. The Conjuring Universe includes The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle, and Annabelle: Creation with The Nun and The Crooked Man on their way. We’ll keep you posted.

‘Annabelle: Creation’ Scores An Unbelievable Rating From Rotten Tomatoes

Back last year it was announced that a sequel was in the works for Annabelle, a spin-off of The Conjuring. Many found that the original Annabelle film fell flat, however it was no surprise when Annabelle 2: Creation was announced. Fans were questioning if the sequel, directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out), would be better than the first. Rotten Tomatoes, know for having often brutal reviews, has given us the answer of if the film is any good. The film scoring site has given Annabelle: Creation a score of 100 which is extremely rare. The Conjuring brought home a score of 86% and The Conjuring 2 got an 80% rating, making Annabelle: Creation the highest ranking film of the franchise. Haunting New Trailer Arrives For Annabelle 2: Creation

From Lights Out Director David F. Sandberg, comes the next film in The Conjuring franchise, Annabelle: Creation. And today, we have the second trailer. The new trailer reveals more of the story and more terror. The film, produced by horror master James Wan, takes place several years after the tragic death of a dollmaker’s little girl. He and his wife “welcome into their home a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage. The Crooked Man Is Coming – Film Greenlit By New Line Cinema

“There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile. He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse, And they all lived together in a little crooked house.” As a kid you may have heard the nursery rhyme about the Crooked Man. The rhyme was made frightening in The Conjuring 2 when the entity came to life. The fact that the Crooked Man was NOT CG is even more incredible (you can find out more here). Javier Botet’s portrayal of the long-limbed entity, with a grin made of pointed teeth, was absolutely terrifying. Back in May we reported that the latest spin-off of The Conjuring franchise, based on the Crooked Man, was in the works. Another Spin-Off For The Conjuring 2 ?

The Conjuring is headed towards being the franchise with the most spin-offs in history. There is possibly another spin-off on its way. And no, I’m not talking about Annabelle 2: Creation or The Nun. Annabelle: Creation producer Peter Safran said something very interesting while talking with JoBlo recently. He said that it is a possibility that the “Crooked Man” from The Conjuring 2 may get a film of his own. “…I suspect a movie with him would be really really cool.” He continued, “…we have some interesting ideas for him. So we’ll see.” The creepy long-legged entity, played by Javier Botet, was not CGI like many thought. That was just Botet in a skin tight suit. Safran explains, “None of it was CG. It was 100% practical. That actor just looks like that, we created an amazing wardrobe for him. Skin tight latex-basically suit.” I could definitely see a whole film based on the character, he is creepy as hell.

‘Conjuring 2’ Spinoff ‘The Nun’ Now Possesses A Friday The 13th Release Date

It wasn’t long after ‘The Conjuring 2’ opened in theaters it was announced there would be a spinoff featuring the dark entity, the Nun. Earlier this month we reported that Corin Hardy (The Hallow) will be in the director’s chair. Today, we have a new update. New Line announced today the that ‘The Nun’ will arrive in theaters nationwide on Friday the 13th in July of 2018. Penned by horror heavy-hitters James Wan (Saw, Insidious, Aquaman) and Gary Dauberman (IT, Annabelle 2), the film will center on the demon Nun who stalked Vera Farmiga throughout ‘The Conjuring 2‘ (review). ‘The Nun’ is actually the fifth film in ‘The Conjuring’ franchise including: ‘The Conjuring’, its spinoff ‘Annabelle’, ‘The Conjuring 2‘, and ‘Annabelle 2‘ which will open in theaters on August 11, 2017 from director David F.
