Ash (Bruce Campbell) is partying hard in the first image from season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead. It seems Ash is living the good life after turning over the Necronomicon to Ruby (Lucy Lawless) in the season finale. But the party won’t last long according to executive producer Craig DiGregorio and Daily Dead. DiGregoria says that the “party is cut short when [Ash] must return home to continue the fight against evil.” “The second season of the STARZ Original series “Ash vs Evil Dead” will be 10 half-hour episodes. Law & Order:SVU’s Michelle Hurd has joined season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead. Hurd has been cast in the role of Ash’s high school sweetheart, a reoccurring role according to Deadline. Unfortunately, that’s all that has been revealed about Hurd’s role at this point. Ash (Bruce Campbell) will have to face his past in season two of Ash vs Evil Dead. Not only will Ash’s father (Lee Majors) and his childhood friend (Ted Raimi) come back into the picture, his high school sweetheart will also be entering back into his life, playing a big role in the upcoming season. On top of the past coming back to haunt him Ash, Kelly and Pablo are still coping with the events of last season which left Ruby (Lucy Lawless) in control of the necronomicon and the power to unleash hell on the world. This season will consist of ten half-hour episodes, which will premiere on September 23rd on STARZ.
