‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ Gets Surprise Release On Netflix!

Ten years after the events of Cloverfield, we find out why they happened. Not only has Netflix Acquired The Cloverfield Paradox, the third film of the franchise, without warning it premieres tonight following the Super Bowl!! WWII Set ‘Overlord’ Revealed To Be The Fourth Film Of The ‘Cloverfield’ Franchise

Back in June, we reported that there were rumors that J.J. Abrams’ WWII set Overlord was rumored to be the fourth film in the Cloverfield universe. Today, we can confirm that it is true (via Slash Films). Overlord, set on the eve of D-Day, follows a group of American paratroopers who are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success, but as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. They find themselves fighting against supernatural forces, part of a Nazi experiment. Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russell, Jacob Anderson, Dominic Applewhite, Pilou Asbaek, Lain de Caestecker, Mathilde Ollivier, John Magaro, and Bokeem Woodbine star. Cloverfield 3 Release Delayed, New Date Announced

The third film in the Cloverfield franchise, with the working title of God Particle, was originally set to arrive on February 2nd, news has now come that Paramount has delayed the release by several months. In the film, after a physics experiment with a large hadron accelerator causes the Earth to seemingly vanish completely, the terrified crew of an orbiting American space station is left floating in the middle of now-even-more-empty space. When a European spacecraft appears on their radar, the Americans must determine whether it’s their salvation or a harbinger of doom. David Oyelowo stars alongside John Krasinski, Daniel Brühl, Gug Mbtha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris O’Dowd. Cloverfield Sequel Lands New Release Date

Earlier this year, J. J. Abrams surprised fans with a sequel to 2008’s found-footage alien film ‘Cloverfield’, titled ’10 Cloverfield Lane’. The film was a huge success, renewing interest in the franchise for fans. We reported in late October that J.J. Abrams’ third ‘Cloverfield’ film, titled ‘God Particle’, had quietly entered production. Recently, The Wrap caught up with actor David Oyelowo in an attempt to lean more about ‘God Particle’. They did not learn much, but he did reveal the following: “Every single day we were on that set, we were agog with the inventiveness and innovation, between the technology, the story, and the audacity of what we were trying to accomplish. It’s an incredibly exciting and innovative process of storytelling.
