Movie Review: Blood Conscious

I recently sat down to watch the new horror film Blood Conscious by writer-director Timothy Covell. The film follows Brittany (DeShawn White), her brother Kevin (Oghenero Gbaje), and her boyfriend Tony (Lenny Thomas) as they head to a cabin to join her mother and father for some family time. Unfortunately, things go very wrong for the trio when they find that an armed man has murdered their parents and their neighbors. His reasoning, they weren’t people anymore, they were demons. This movie has a character problem. Right off to bat we learn that Tony’s a prick, Brittany lets him walk over her and her brother and Kevin is weak. These are the characters we are meant to care for, cheer for? They are mostly unlikable with Kevin being the only halfway redeemable character in the film. The next issue are the demons. New Trailer Teases That There Is Something ‘Behind You’

Vertical Entertainment has released the trailer and poster for demonic horror film Behind You! In the directorial debut from Andrew Mecham and Matthew Whedon, two young sisters find that all the mirrors in their estranged aunt’s house are covered or hidden. When one of them happens upon a mirror in the basement, she unknowingly releases a malicious demon. Behind You stars Jan Broberg (Abducted in Plain Sight), Addy Miller (“The Walking Dead”), Elizabeth Birkner and Philip Brodie and is produced by Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing’s Tremendum Pictures alongside Parallelogram. Behind You will be in theaters and on VOD on April 17, 2020.

Supernatutral Indie Horror Film ‘The Campus’ Comes To VOD

The Campus (review), from director Jason Horton, will be arriving on Video On Demand this week. The film puts Morgan (Rachel Amanda Bryant) in a demonic limbo after her father makes a deal with the Devil. The film brings several stories together to create a larger narrative. In The Campus, Robert dies after breaking his deal with the Devil, bringing his daughter home for the funeral. Morgan arrives with the intent of ripping off the family business but soon finds herself in a never-ending cycle of terror; being brutally murdered then resurrected over and over again – each time losing another piece of her soul. Robert C. Pullman (Fragmented), Brit Sheridan (Supernatural) and Scott Menville also star in this Gas Money Pictures’ production. Sean A. Reid, Joe Bartone, Robert Pullman, James L. Demon Possesses First Trailer And Release date

The Orchard has acquired the distribution rights to Demon. Sadly, the film’s director, Marcin Wrona, tragically passed away before he could see the film’s release this September. He was 42. Co-written by Wrona and Pawel Maslona, Demon stars Itay Tiran, Agnieszka Zulewska, Andrzej Grabowski, Tomasz Schuchardt, Katarzyna Herman, Adam Woronowcz, Wlodzimierz Press and Tomasz Zietek. In the film Peter travels to the hometown of his future wife Janet. As a wedding gift from the bride’s grandfather, he receives a piece of land where the two can build a house and raise a happy family. While preparing the land for construction, Peter finds remains in the ground beneath his new property. Soon, very strange things begin to happen and the couple’s lives forever. The film is a modern twist on the Jewish legend of the Dybbuk. A Dybbuk is said to be the spirit of someone who has not been properly laid to rest that then sets out to take over
