Robert Rodriquez Turning His El Rey Network Into A New Streaming Service

Robert Rodriguez‘s El Rey Network has given horror fans many films and series including the “From Dusk Till Dawn” series that ran from 2014-2016. Now, Rodriguez is taking El Rey and turning it into a Latino-centered streaming service which he has teamed up with Cinedigm for, Variety reports. “In partnership with Cinedigm, El Rey Network will relaunch as an over-the-top streaming service available on platforms including connected TVs, digital set-top boxes, media-streaming devices, and the web,” Variety states. “In addition, Cinedigm will work with El Rey to ink deals with advertisers on custom content. Cinedigm also will distribute Rodriguez’s feature film Red 11 and the companion docuseries, Rebel Without a Crew: The Robert Rodriguez Film School, exclusively to OTT platforms.” “El Rey has always been a network for the people — a mainstream outlet where we discover diverse, independent voices,” Rodriguez said in a statement. “The fact that we can also now make our catalogue of kick-ass programming available for

Tom Savini Joins The Cast Of El Rey’s From Dusk Till Dawn Series

Legendary makeup artist and actor Tom Savini has worked on films such classics as Friday the 13th, Day of the Dead and many others. Out of all of his roles he is most well recognized as “Sex Machine” in 1996’s From Dusk Till Dawn. I mean, who could forget that crotch gun? Savini has now joined the cast of season 3 of Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn series, which airs on Rodriguez’s El Rey Network. The 10 episode season is currently filming in New Mexico. Savini will not be reprising his roles as Sex Machine, but will instead star as Burt, a retired demon hunter who makes a living selling Marijuana. The series stars D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz as the Gecko brothers, roles originally played in the feature film, which Rodriguez also directed, by George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino. Wilmer Valderrama, Jake Busy, Eiza Gonzalez, Danny Trejo, Jesse Garcia, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo and Jeff Fahey co-star

The El Rey Network Has Acquired Constantine Along With Several Other Series

If you thought the El Rey Network couldn’t get any cooler, you were wrong! The Network, founded by filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, has just announced a handful of new acquisitions, including ‘Almost Human’, ‘The Twilight Zone’, ‘Freddy’s Nightmares’, ‘Human Target’, ‘V: The Series’, ‘Night Visions’ and, hold on to your seats, ‘Constantine’. Both ‘Constantine‘ and ‘Almost Human’ will debut on El Rey this November. The network is in the process of acquiring even more series as we speak. I know fans of ‘Constantine’ are very happy to hear this news. Fans took to social media in droves to vent their disappointment when NBC canceled the series after just one fantastic season. My hope is that El Rey will decide to pick up where NBC left off and continue the series that follows Constantine (Matt Ryan), a wizard/demon hunter. The series was based on the Hellblazer graphic novel by Garth Ennis and Warren Ellis. Constantine was created by Allen Moore and first
