Netflix Review: Eli (2019)

Netflix continues to turn out horror films that impress. One of the latest is director Ciarán Foy’s Eli, a tale about a young boy suffering from an extreme autoimmune disorder that makes him allergic to the world, but not all is what it seems. As his parents take him for a treatment meant to cure him, all hell breaks loose as ghosts begin to haunt him. This film is cleaver and will have you guessing the entire time as you sit on the edge of your seat. Just when you think you know what’s going on, a giant twist throws everything out the window. With a unique story, which is rare these days, Eli is entertaining and spooky as hell. I’ll be honest, one reason I found Eli so interesting is that I identify with Eli because the young boy, played by Charlie Shotwell, is plagued by an autoimmune disorder. Netflix And Chills Giving Horror Fans A Real Halloween Treat (Schedule)

It’s that time of year again (the best time of the year) when our TVs are filled with horror films and series. Netflix is scaring up some seriously frightening flicks and shows this October with Netflix and Chills! We’ve got the schedule and the low down on Netflix films coming out in time for Halloween. Netflix is releasing several films including Stephen King and Joe Hill’sIn the Tall Grass, Fractured, Eli, and Rattlesnake. Max Martini Joins Paramount’s Pychological Horror Film ‘Eli’

Max Martini (Pacific Rim, 50 Shades of Grey) has joined the cast of Ciaran Foy’s (Sinister 2) psychological horror film Eli, the debut feature film from Paramount Players, according to THR. Set in a secluded clinic, the film centers on Eli, an 11-year-old who is being treated for a rare disease. Soon, the clinic becomes a haunted prison with no way out. Martini will play the role of Eli’s father, who moves to the isolated treatment facility with his wife after dealing with his sons mysterious illness for several years. Charlie Shotwell (Captain Fantastic) leads the cast that also includes Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink and Kelly Reilly. David Chirchirillo penned the script revised by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing. Intrepid Pictures’ Trevor Macy is producing along with John Zaozirny of Bellevue Productions. The Strangers’ Ciarán Foy Begins Production On The Paranormal Thriller Eli

Filmmaker Ciarán Foy, has already made a big splash in the genre with his films Citadel and Sinister II. The first information had been revealed for Foy’s psychological thriller Eli and I can’t wait to see it. The film centers on Eli, a young boy undergoing treatments for a rare disease in a secluded clinic. The clinic in reality is a haunted former prison, that has no way out. With paranormal aspects, Eli is based on the script originally written by David Chirchirillo and rewritten by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing, the writing duo are behind The Autopsy of Jane Doe (review). Deadline reports that filming is set to begin this summer. Trevor Macy is producing under Intrepid Pictures’ banner.
