Max Martini Joins Paramount’s Pychological Horror Film ‘Eli’

Max Martini (Pacific Rim, 50 Shades of Grey) has joined the cast of Ciaran Foy’s (Sinister 2) psychological horror film Eli, the debut feature film from Paramount Players, according to THR.
Set in a secluded clinic, the film centers on Eli, an 11-year-old who is being treated for a rare disease. Soon, the clinic becomes a haunted prison with no way out.
Martini will play the role of Eli’s father, who moves to the isolated treatment facility with his wife after dealing with his sons mysterious illness for several years.
Charlie Shotwell (Captain Fantastic) leads the cast that also includes Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink and Kelly Reilly.
David Chirchirillo penned the script revised by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing. Intrepid Pictures’ Trevor Macy is producing along with John Zaozirny of Bellevue Productions. Melinda Nishioka and David O’Leary are co-producing with Matt Alverez serving as executive producer.
Eli has already begun filming and is set to open in theaters on January 4, 2019.
