New Netflix Docuseries Explores The Mysterious Death Of Elisa Lam

Things don’t get much stranger than the unsolved death of Canadian tourist Elisa Lam who was found dead at the Cecil Hotel in L.A. back in 2013. The new Netflix docuseries “Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel” will delve into the mystery. Directed and executive produced by Joe Berlinger, who was also behind Netflix’s Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, the series attempts to deconstruct the night the 21-year-old Canadian tourist died. And features interviews with investigators, hotel employees, and other guests. “As a true crime documentarian, I was fascinated in 2013 when the elevator video of Elisa Lam went viral and legions of amateur detectives used the internet to try to solve the mystery of what happened to her,” Barlinger said. “So, when journalist Josh Dean, who is also a producer on the project, brought us his research into this case, we realized there was as an opportunity to do something different by not just telling the

The Bringing Left In Search Of Studio After Sony Steps Away

Sony Pictures has decided not to move ahead with ‘The Bringing’, according to THR. The film has also lost its director Jeremy Lovering (Sherlock). As for the film’s lack of a studio, it shouldn’t be a problem for long. Several studios are already interested, including Lionsgate, Paramount and New Line. The film’s filming date is big part of the discussion. Star Michael Pena only has a certain window to do the film. Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer, the duo behind the horror film ‘Starry Eyes’, penned the most recent version of the script and will be taking over the project that follows a man (Pena) is investigating a woman’s strange death at the hotel. Inspired by the real-life story of Elisa Lam, a 21-year-old-woman who was found dead in the water tank of the Cecil Hotel in 2013. Just before her mysterious death, security cameras filmed Lam in its elevator behaving strangely. The footage and her story have since become

It’s allegedly based on Elisa Lam, who was found dead in the water tanks on the roof of the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. That’s the place that killers like Richard Ramirez called home at one time or another, and where suicides have occurred. Footage of Lam’s bizarre, inexplicable behavior
