Movie Review: Death of a Vlogger (2019)

YouTube vlogger Graham (Graham Hughes, who also wrote and directed this putrid picture) is having a bit of a slump, as his ha-ha vids are pretty much tits up as far as his viewership is concerned. Lucky for him, he captures one of those paranormal events that are all the rage with blonde women between the ages of 23 and 47, and broadcasts it for all of the world to see! Graham continues to record his eerie existence, but while most vicious viewers eat this supernatural shit up with a sinister spoon, there are those that find Graham’s new material a lil’ bit hard to swallow and set off to prove that this new arcane approach is a load of bollox! Comprised of a heady blend of found footage and faux documentary, Death of a Vlogger presents the full spectrum of paranormal activity, to those that desire to debunk said events… and all points in-between, in a fantastically immersive bit

Movie Reviews (Arrow Video FrightFest Glasgow): Death of a Vlogger; The Cleansing Hour

Death of a Vlogger The U.K. faux documentary Death of a Vlogger uses the possibility of supernatural occurrences to explore the pitfalls of today’s social media world. It does so in a manner that is consistently entertaining, and though it offers some criticism on both internet fame seekers and the often callous audiences that follow them, it never gets too heavy-handed in its messages. Writer/director Graham Hughes stars as Graham, a YouTube personality who begins experiencing strange incidents in his flat after he has laser eye surgery. He is joined by his friend Erin (Annabel Logan), and the duo further explores the possibilities of what might be taking place in his home. Eventually, paranormal investigator Steve (Paddy Kondracki) comes aboard, seeking as many new likes and follows as he can get, only for the trio to be called out on their story by fellow YouTuber and skeptic Alice (Joma West). Hughes leads a strong cast, and he helms the film

A Paranormal Video Goes Viral In Death Of A Vlogger

It’s not easy being a YouTube vlogger. It takes a lot of dedication to conjure up those views, night after night but one man is about to get some help…from beyond the grave. Filmmaker Graham Hughes has just released the trailer for his unique horror thriller, Death of a Vlogger in which a vlogger faces the dark side of going viral when one of his videos contains an alleged haunting. “Death of a Vlogger is a horror-documentary about a vlogger who gains viral fame when one of his videos contains an alleged haunting. The story follows Graham as he investigates this haunting and deals with the side effects of being famous on the internet. It’s told in a traditional documentary format, including interviews, ripped YouTube videos, archive materials and new footage, whilst also functioning as a traditional horror film with tension-building set-pieces and scares.” Hughes said. Death of a Vlogger, starring Hughes, Annabel Logan, and Paddy Kondrack, is a Micro-Budget
