Alexandre Aja‘s creature feature Crawl is currently baring its teeth in theaters. It appears that the director isn’t wasting any time, he has already found his next project. It’s a “haunted house” movie, according to Collider. The currently untitled movie was written by Aja, Nick Simon (The Girl in the Photographs), and Jeff Howard who was behind Netflix’s huge hit series “The Haunting of Hill House.” Aja is taking an interesting approach, it will be an interactive movie, think “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.” To achieve the movie Aja and Amblin are partnering with Kino Industries’ CtrlMovie tech. The viewer at theaters will be able to vote on the direction and narrative the story takes. For those watching at home, they will be able to influence the storyline via a phone app. We’ll update you when we know more.

Today, I had a conversation with Tyler Christensen. We talked about a lot of things including the state of horror, his new film ‘House of Purgatory‘, and the future of film. Honestly, it was the best conversation about horror I’ve had in a long time. Christensen’s background is in reality TV, but his true love is the horror genre. He has produced several series that you may have seen, ‘Billy the Exterminator’, ‘Wild West Alaska’ and more. He was much more eager to talk about his first film, ‘House of Purgatory’, which will be released on October 21st. Horror Fuel: You have produced several reality series. What made you decide to switch to writing horror? TC: I’ve always wanted to. But reality is what has payed the bills. I’m in LA and I thought it was time, so I took six months off to write the script for House of Purgatory. The one thing I got from college was how
