Friday The 13th Sequel Set to Begin Filming

After a long period of silence, we finally have an update on the highly-anticipated ‘Friday the 13th’ sequel. The sequel is now casting and is set to begin filming this spring in Conyers, Georgia under the direction of Breck Eisner (The Crazies), from the script penned by Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners), FridayThe13thFranchise.com is reporting. “The reason that the production in Conyers is interesting is that Platinum Dunes is scheduled for shooting in that town starting in March and lasting through to May. That leads us to believe a good majority of filming should take place in that area. Another interesting bit of information about Conyers is that it is just under 12 miles away from Covington, Georgia, where Jason Lives: Friday The 13th Part VI was filmed!” The film has been described as an origin story by Brad Fuller and Andrew Form who are producing for Platinum Dunes. John Portanova is making his feature directorial debut with ‘Hunting Grounds’ (previously titled Valley of the Sasquatch), a film about family, desperation, and deadly beasts. Movie Rips Off Leatherface Title – Don’t Be Fooled

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ prequel ‘Leatherface‘. Some fans might believe that it was just released on DVD in UK, but it hasn’t. A film has just been released titled ‘Leatherface’, but it is an impostor. The knockoff, directed by Rene Perez, would like for you to believe that it is actually part of the ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, but in reality it is not. On the poster stands a man with a chainsaw and stitched together mask, the tag line “The Legend Lives On…” written at the bottom. Hmmm, I wonder where they got that idea (sarcasm)?
