To celebrate Alien, here are ten of our favourite props, costumes and pieces of monstrous memorabilia from the terrifying sci-fi movie series which collectors snapped up at auction. (Image: Profiles in History) Brett’s Nostromo crew cap (Alien) This Nostromo crew cap was worn by cult actor Harry Dean Stanton as engineering technician Brett in Alien. When Stanton auditioned for the part, his first words to director Ridley Scott were “I don’t like sci-fi or monster movies.” Nonetheless, he won the role and was famously dispatched by the creature whilst searching for the ship’s cat Jones. Resident Evil Collectible Looks Like A Zombie’s…You Just Have To See It For Yourself

There are thousands of different horror collectibles out there, from figures, art, clothing, to almost everything you can think of. One interesting item by Japan’s Biohazard Ambassador events is a Resident Evil USB port item, and it looks a lot like a burnt or zombified penis. While meant to be a zombie finger like the one in the game, it doesn’t resemble a finger at all until it’s bent. But come on, if you were going to make a finger, wouldn’t you give it something resembling a finger nail? When it is straight, it just looks like a dong that’s charred. Did Lorena Bobbitt design this thing? To make matters worse, the “finger” will be included in Gamestop’s exclusive collector’s edition. I’m sorry, I just can’t stop laughing at this thing. Is this what happens to a zombie when it turns? What do you think this “collector’s item” looks like? Source: Kotaku.com

A Look At The Incredible Creations Of Rusty Blonde

Last night while scrolling through Facebook I came across a necklace with the sculpted bust of the werewolf from ‘The Howling’. It blew my mind. I had to look further into the artist’s page, Rusty Blonde Art. I found jewelry depicting sculpts of everyone from Poe to Edward Scissorhands to Jack Torrance from ‘The Shining’. It was not all jewelry, there are also figures that look so real that I had to look twice, then a third time. They are all absolutely amazing. Imge Celepçi (aka Rusty Blonde), an amazingly gifted freelance artist/sculpter from Istanbul, Turkey. After only four years of working with Polymer clay, at the age of 33 Imge has the skill that normally takes a lifetime to build. Her workshop can be found at the isolated house in rural Istanbul that she shares with her husband, who she bills as “the best known metal singer/musician in the country”, and their four rescue dogs. She is also a
