This February Horror director Michael David Pate’s (Gefällt mir, Potato Salad) social media horror flick Haunted Hospital: Heilstätten takes along for an investigation into the haunted past of a famous hospital. The film tells the story of a group of vloggers who travel to Berlin to film a viral social media challenge by illegally accessing the abandoned, derelict military hospital Beelitz Heilstätten that once housed a recuperating Adolph Hitler, and documenting their experience spending the night in the ominous surgery block in the hopes that the video will go viral. A young woman finds her true power while trapped in a fight to save her little brother’s life in the supernatural thriller The Changeover from directors Stuart McKenzie and Miranda Harcourt. Written by Stuart McKenzie, the film is based on the Carnegie Medal-winning novel by Margaret Mahy of the same name. To honor their fallen friend, four dudes decide to go hiking in Sweden (trust me, it isn’t as rando as it sounds…these dudes were going to rough it in just such a manner before their bro got all pulped AF by some thieves). Anyway, woods, cold, hikety-do! Horror Icon Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street) stars in Nightworld, from director Patricio Valladares. And it has just landed on Netflix! The film, which was released on DVD in late 2016, also stars Jason London. In Nightworld, “When Former LAPD Officer Brett Irlam takes a job as head of security at an old apartment building in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, he soon begins to experience a series of bizarre and terrifying events. This weekend, Brandon Christensen’s Still/Born opened in theaters and arrived on VOD platforms, via Vertical Entertainment. While the trailer was released a while back, the international trailer has just arrived and delivers more terrifying footage. In the film, “Mary, a new mother gives birth to two twins, but only one of them is alive. Victor Crowley is back and we have new clip! One of horror’s favorite villains, Victor Crowley, has come home for a new chapter. The killer has longed stalked the Hatchet franchise from Adam Green and now he’s grown more brutal and more bloodthirsty. Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for their February release, The Ritual, starring Rafe Spall (The BFG), Robert James-Collier (Downtown Abbey), Arsher Ali (Four Lions), and Sam Troughton (The Hollow Crown). The intense trailer reveals a group of terrified friends as they make their way down off of a mountain after saying goodbye to one of their own. The film centers on four old friends from college who set out to hike through the Scandinavian wilderness after the death of their best friend. When a wrong turn leads them into the wilderness, part of a Norse Legend, they are stalked by something evil. David Bruckner directed the film which was written by BAFTA-nominated screenwriter Joe Barton (Humans, iBoy), based on Adam Nevill’s novel of the same name.
