A First Look At Indie Horror “In Darkness I Wait”

The final film of filmmaker Jeff Payne‘s “The Pale Faced Lady” trilogy will soon make its debut. Ahead of its premiere, we have a sneak peek to share with you. Titled In Darkness I Wait, the film centers on a young man and his girlfriend Mara who enter an old house with the intent to burn it down in hopes of erasing the family’s bad history. What the couple doesn’t know is that an evil entity waits for them. I’m going full terror. At this point, you know the story, how she came to be, and what she’s capable of. Now, we follow characters who go into the house to try and rid the nightmare once and for all. I’m wanting this to be the payoff for the series. Tense atmospheres, dread, and horror…my goal is to scare my mom on this one haha!” Jeff Payne says. Check out the first look at the film.

Movie Review: Before the Night is Over (2020)

Poor Samantha (Samantha Acampora); her parents are recently deadsville, and she’s been whisked away (by means of one creepy chauffeur) to her aunt’s opulent bordello… a deviant domicile where every dark sexual desire is satisfied among the all-male clientele… for a price. As fate would have it, folks start pulling the ol’ vanishing act left and right, and Sam gets on the case with the quickness… and before long the deep, dark secrets that are harbored within the wicked walls of that house of ill repute come tumblin’ into the light! Independent horror maestro Richard Griffin (aided and abetted by frequent co-writer Lenny Schwartz) really cranks up the Euro-horror vibe in his newest release, and man-oh-fuckin’-man is Before the Night is Over a fright flick that lovers of Franco (Jess that is) will doubtless eat up with revoltin’ relish! We get a freaky flurry of rich crimsons, jade greens, and chiaroscuro shadows (not to mention plenty of shots you’d swear

Crowdfunding Cynema

Do I Or Don’t I? There are crowdfunding sites for films, projects, medical issues, video games, bankruptcy, personal hardships and well…one for making potato salad. What does Cynema have to do with crowdfunding? After all, it’s about people pursuing their dreams, correct? Maybe. Some of that is legit. I am focusing on the film projects. Thousands of folks out there have turned to The Internet to get their movie funded. Kickstarter, Indie Go Go and Go Fund Me have bloomed as filmmakers go to these sites, set financial goals and lobby for donors. I’ve followed several of these ventures on Twitter. They spend their day lobbying followers to help them make their daily financial goals to make “their dream” come true. They offer “packages” that give the title of “producer” to their films. This is ball busting work and to be sure has pissed off a legion of followers with the constant time line shake downs. Some of these filmmakers

When Filmmakers Strike Back

Keyboard Warriors A bane of social media is the “Inspirational Tweeter.” This is the person whose life is going so well, they feel the need to tell you how you too can find the happiness they have. They’re a digital Hallmark Card, the cyber chicken soup for the soul. It’s amazing how much annoyance can be packed into 140 characters. Another facet is the “Hipster Movie Reviewer.” These are the folks (usually male) with a blog or You Tube Channel who think they know about movies. Some are ballsy enough to take on real reviewers like Scott Weinberg and tell THEM how they’re wrong or “set them straight” especially when it comes to super hero or Adam Sandler films. These “reviewers” usually have little production value. Their videos are shot with no lighting or professional sound and while some have under 50 views they usually start their critiques with “Hey Everyone…” Everyone? You mean the 6 viewers minus the ones
