Blu-ray Review: Scavenger (2019)

Tisha spends her days wandering a dry, dusty, post-apocalyptic landscape engaging in the organ dealing biz… but she’s about to get a job walkin’ revenge’s road when an old woman hires her to put a murder on a certain individual that spends his time at ye olde brothel. A simple set-up to be sure, but this one is going to get super brutal in short time… and therein lies a problem or two cats n’ creeps… Scavenger is a film packed with nastiness… most of it inflicted on our heroine, who is sexually assaulted for an incredibly long time. In a film that runs roughly seventy-five minutes with credits, there is a large amount of attention given to the villain of the piece shoving various “weapons” into Tisha with violent abandon. As you lot know, I’m no prude, and I will admit this material adds to the world filmmakers Eric Fleitas and Luciana Garraza (along with co-writer Sheila Fentana) are

New Horror Comedy ‘Werewolves Within’ Will Leave You Howling With Laughter

After a proposed pipeline creates divisions within the small town of Beaverfield, and a snowstorm traps its residents together inside the local inn, newly arrived forest ranger Finn (Sam Richardson) and postal worker Cecily (Milana Vayntrub) must try to keep the peace and uncover the truth behind a mysterious creature that has begun terrorizing the community in Werewolves Within. Directed by Josh Ruben and written by Mishna Wolff, Werewolves Within stars Sam Richardson, Milana Vayntrub, George Basil, Sarah Burns, Michael Chernus, Catherine Curtain, Wayne Duvall, Harvey Guillén, Rebecca Henderson, Cheyenne Jackson, Michaela Watkins, and Glenn Fleshler. I grew up near the same small town where we shot Werewolves Within. As a kid, I’d freak myself out, making up monster stories, running through the woods, pretending I was Chief Brody, fighting creatures in the brush (I LOVED Jaws — hell, I loved horror). That hometown experience, where neighbors knew your business (whether you liked it or not) is so much of
