Lionsgate’s new supernatural thriller Down a Dark Hall has a brand new trailer. Based on the novel by the same name penned by Lois Duncan, the film was directed by Rodrigo Cortés (Buried) and has a fantastic cast that includes Uma Thurman (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction), AnnaSophia Robb (Soul Surfer), Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Victoria Moroles (Teen Wolf), Taylor Russell (Falling Skies), Rosie Day (Outlander), and Noah Silver (The Tribes of Palos Verdes). Down a Dark Hall follows “Kit (Robb), a difficult young girl, sent to the mysterious Blackwood Boarding School when her heated temper becomes too much for her mother to handle. Once she arrives at Blackwood, Kit encounters eccentric headmistress Madame Duret (Thurman) and meets the school’s only other students, four young women also headed down a troubled path. While exploring the labyrinthine corridors of the school, Kit and her classmates discover that Blackwood Manor hides an age-old secret rooted in the paranormal.” Down a Dark Hall will arrive

True Story
Full Moon announced this morning that Orphan star Isabelle Fuhrman has boarded Deborah Kampmeier’s revenge thriller Tape. Fuhrman joins Thom Bishops (The Tale) and Annarosa Mudd in the film based on the true story of an innocent young actress, a producer and a woman looking for revenge. “Tape tells the story of a young, ambitious actress (Fuhrman), who meets a producer (Bishops) at an open call audition. Taken with her, he invites her to his hotel to discuss another role. What he doesn’t know is that another actress (Mudd), is waiting to exact her revenge against him.” Kampmeier (Hounddog) and Veronica Nickel (First Match) for Full Moon Films will be producing. Ken and Marie Romanski are serving as executive producers. Shooting begins in New York City this April. I’ll be honest, I have high hopes for Tape. Fuhrman blew me away in Orphan. Her portrayal as a grown woman posing as a child was both terrifying and incredible.

We’ve shared several updates on the film adaption of Stephen King’s Cell over the past several months. Today, the first full trailer and official poster have finally arrived. The film, directed by Tod Williams penned by King and Adam Alleca, stars Samuel L. Jackson, John Cussack, Isabelle Fuhrman, Stacy Keach, Lloyd Kaufman, Owen Teague, and Catherine Dyer. Stephen King’s best-selling novel begins at the Boston airport where Clay (Cusack) witnesses chaos when an electronic signal cast over cellphones suddenly turns the crowd into a mob of bloodthirsty killers. Clay, desperate to find his estranged wife and son, teams up with a train driver (Jackson) together they battle their way past hordes of murderous “phoners” as they city falls into destruction. Cell opens in theaters and arrives on VOD on July 8th via Saban Films.
