We’ve shared several updates on the film adaption of Stephen King’s Cell over the past several months. Today, the first full trailer and official poster have finally arrived.
The film, directed by Tod Williams penned by King and Adam Alleca, stars Samuel L. Jackson, John Cussack, Isabelle Fuhrman, Stacy Keach, Lloyd Kaufman, Owen Teague, and Catherine Dyer.
Stephen King’s best-selling novel begins at the Boston airport where Clay (Cusack) witnesses chaos when an electronic signal cast over cellphones suddenly turns the crowd into a mob of bloodthirsty killers. Clay, desperate to find his estranged wife and son, teams up with a train driver (Jackson) together they battle their way past hordes of murderous “phoners” as they city falls into destruction.
Cell opens in theaters and arrives on VOD on July 8th via Saban Films.
