New Georgie Denbrough Funko Figure Is Depressingly Adorable

Georgie, with his big brown eyes and sleek yellow slicker, might be the cutest movie kid in years. He’s significantly less cute after being pulled down a gutter and turned into a little zombie boy, but that’s to be expected. So damn cute! So of course, Funko had to make a POP! figure out of him, although to be fair, it seems like the only film Funko hasn’t made toys out of yet is “Schindler’s List”. Georgie doesn’t seem too happy to be immortalized in plastic however. Maybe it’s because they stuck him next to the demon clown that bit his fucking arm off. Just a thought. Pennywise and Georgie will be available later this Winter.

‘IT’ Review: A High-floating Masterpiece Or Sludge From The Sewer?

I hope that at this point in society we can come together as one and declare clowns as fucking creepy. White painted faces, colorful, ill fitting clothes, and whacko smiles that are the stuff of nightmares; all EXTREMELY fucking creepy. Pennywise however, the shapeshifting killer clown who prowls on the children of Derry Maine, goes a step beyond. And clown shoes take awful big steps. Pennwise is downright disturbing. A big hand to Bills Skarsgard, whose joint popping, drooling, cross eyed performance is about the furthest thing from funny in the world. And yet much of The Dancing Clown’s power is robbed from him as the film continues on and he is apparently content with just fucking around. A (stupid looking) leper here, a (even stupider looking) evil flute lady thing there, and not a whole lot of effective child munching. IT does showcase it’s R-rating early, with poor little Georgie losing his arm after reaching into the sewer after

What Are You Doing In My Sewers: Shrek Invades The New ‘It’ Trailer

Just when you thought The Cat In The Hat was the scariest thing hanging out in the Derry Sewers, a certain ogre pokes his ugly green head out. Ogres are like onions! Ogres are like onions! I’m starting to think the It trailer would still be scary if you replaced Pennywise with a goldfish, let alone an 8 foot tall foul smelling monster like Shrek. Thats not a bad question actually; what does Pennywise smell like? Shouldn’t that white cotton clown costume be smeared in brown? I really hope “insert random slightly creepy children character Into It trailer” becomes a new meme. Maybe next up The Grinch? Yep….not terrifying at all.

New TV Spot For ‘IT’ Gives A Terrifying Look At Pennywise

Andy Muschietti’s IT is now the most anticipated horror film of the year and for good reason. If you have seen the trailer you know that there is no doubt that the it is going to be terrifying and amazing. From the looks of it Bill Skarsgard is going to be incredible as Pennywise. Don’t get me wrong, Tim Curry’s version of the entity will always be iconic. A new Latin America’ TV spot gives us new footage and the best look at Pennywise so far. The adaption of Stephen King’s IT, based on the screenplay written by Gary Dauberman, centers on a group of teens, referred to as the “Losers Club”. On a daily basis they face bullies and now a monster that takes the shape of a demented clown known as Pennywise, has arrived in their sleepy little town of Derry Maine. No Giant Spider For ‘IT’ Remake

The original IT miniseries had some strong elements, but it also had some weaker ones, perhaps most memorably the animatronic abomination that was Pennywise’s final form. Taking the form of a giant spider that wouldn’t look out of place in an episode of Goosebumps, much of the horror and tension of the previous 3 hours is replaced with laughter and befuddlement. Yes, the spider was in the book, but not everything that works on the written page works on the screen. That’s certainly evident here. Thankfully Bloody-Disgusting has reported that there will in fact be no arachnid in the upcoming remake. “Muschietti’s version will show more of Pennywise adapting into various forms that are based on the children’s individual fears. However, it will not show Pennywise as a giant spider like it did in the 1990 miniseries adaptation.” As someone who loved the novel but hated the mini-series (with the exception of Tim Curry) this is good news. Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Olivia Hussey

It’s Wednesday again, my Little Monsters. So as you know, it’s time to start crushing on another wonderful Woman of Horror and this week I’ve picked a real Hussey. Now that isn’t meant to be derogatory or be a form of slut shaming. Not at all, because it just happens to be Olivia’s last name. Olivia Hussey was originally born Olivia Osuna, the first of Joy Hussey and Andreas Osuna’s two children. Her parents divorced while she was only two years of age, and a few years later Olivia moved with her mother and younger brother to London, England. She began her training to become an actress at an early age, studying at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, located in London. At the age of thirteen, Olivia would adopt her mother’s maiden name as she began acting professionally. A Quartet Of Quintessential Stephen King Films To Be Featured In A New Blu-ray Collection

As is the case with most of you, my Little Monsters, I am eagerly awaiting the upcoming release of cinematic fare by that Master of the Macabre, Stephen King. We have The Dark Tower coming out on August 4th and IT which is due out on September 8th. But four iconic King horror films will also be released as a collection somewhere in between these two highly anticipated theatrical releases. The 1979 adaptation of Salem’s Lot, Stanley Kubrick’s film version of The Shining, King’s second anthology film, Cat’s Eye, and the original 1989 mini-series adaptation of IT are being compiled for a Blu-ray collection called the “King og Horror Collection”. Granted, each of these adaptations have already been released independently, but such a collection would be a great way to get all the films in one place and would also make a perfect gift to provide newer fans a look at how some of King’s nightmarish stories have been translated

King’s Son Has High Praise for ‘IT’ Remake

It’s a pretty big year for Stephen King fans, with a film adaptation of The Dark Tower, a new original show Castle Rock, a television adaptation of Mr. Mercedes, and more being announced/released. But the most exciting upcoming project has got to be the IT remake, a new adaptation of one of King’s most famous (and longest) novels. The first trailer blew up online, with its terrifying new vision of Pennywise the Clown and 1980’s setting (as opposed to the 60’s setting in the novel). With just a few months until IT is released, a few people in the industry have seen an early cut, and at least one of them has high praise for the Andres Muschietti’s directed film. “Andres’ adaptation of IT is one of the 5 scariest films ever made,” Hill confidently stated. “It’s tremendously humane. ‘IT’ Director Signs On For Hulu’s Adaption Of Joe Hill’s ‘Lock & Key’

Back in April Hulu announced that they had an adaption of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s IDW comic, Lock & Key, in the works. Originally, Scott Derrickson (Sinister) was attached to direct the pilot for the one-hour series. Now, Deadline is reporting Derrickson has stepped away due to a scheduling conflict with his other series, Snowpiercer. Andy Muschietti will be taking Derrickson’s seat in the directors chair. Muschietti must really be a fan of the King family, after adapting Stephen King’s IT and now adapting King’s son’s (Joe Hill) comic. The series centers around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. ‘IT’ Scares Up R Rating

Rejoice, horror fans, as it appears Pennywise won’t be holding back when it comes to visceral terror. Despite the studio trend of the last decade plus to make sure nearly every theatrical horror film gets a tame PG-13 rating, the new adaptation of Stephen King‘s beloved novel ‘IT’ will be rated R when it’s released theatrically this September. The MPAA has cited the highly-anticipated film’s “violence/horror”, blood, and harsh language as the reasons for the restricted rating. Let the crippling coulrophobia commence! ‘IT’ floats into theaters everywhere September 8, 2017.
