The Fly Getting A New Remake By Fox

It has been just over thirty years since David Cronenberg unleashed The Fly, the remake of the 1958 Kurt Neumann film of the same name. Cronenberg’s version, which starred Jeff Goldblum as a scientist who transforms into a giant, mutated fly after an experiment goes wrong, was one of the greatest practical effect films of the time. Dillard is in negotiations with 20th Century FOX to direct and co-write the script along with Alex Theurer who is behind 2017’s Stray. The duo has teamed up before, to pen the script for Sleight. At the moment that’s all we know. We assume that the film will stick to the same storyline as did the first two films. We will keep you updated.
