Unintentionally Funny Moments In Serious Horror Movies

When one watches horror movies, the main reason for doing so is to be scared, disturbed, and entertained… not laugh or left dumbfounded by what you just saw. The following list count downs from the least to the most moments in horror films that were probably not meant to be funny but came out that way, and be warned, there are a lot of SPOILERS ahead. 10: Get Out First, we start off with the 2017 directorial debut of Jordan Peele, Get Out. The film is about a young African-American man named Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) who goes to meet his white girlfriend’s (Allison Williams) family who is part of a family ran conspiracy to transplant the brains of its ailing white family members and friends into healthy bodies of African Americans. The Scene: Walter’s Nighttime Run In this scene, Chris goes to have a smoke outside in the middle of the night where he has a strange encounter with the

Review: ‘The Wheel’ Is A Frightening Flick From Masters Of The Genre

While Ferris wheels can be a lot of fun, they can also be frightening as proven in Nikhil Bhagat’s fantastic short horror film The Wheel, set to be released this February. The film finds a woman (Molly Buecher) alone in a big empty house while her husband is on a trip shopping for antiques to sell in their shop. When he sends home an old toy Ferris wheel he has no idea of the terror it will unleash on his wife. The first thing I noticed right off to bat about The Wheel is its fantastic cinematography, rich look, and great camera work, which is top-notch and better than we usually see in short films. The acting from Molly Buecher was great and she really sells her fear which feels authentic. The dark entity who appears in the film is creepy as hell and has a killer look and design that we haven’t seen a million times before. This terrifying

Horror heavy hitter James Wan‘s new horror film Malignant was supposed to hit theaters back in August but found itself another victim of the pandemic like many other films, but it’s on its way and has just scored an “R” rating for “Strong horror violence, gruesome images, and for language.” The plot details for Malignant are still being kept quiet. Wan does have a comic that is titled Malignant Man, but there has been no word if the two are connected. We do however know that the movie is part of the Giallo sub-genre, which usually features scenes of excessive violence and blurs the lines between art and exploitation cinema.
