The Jeepers Creepers franchise has been a source of controversy from the start. While the franchise has a lot of fans there are also a lot of people willing to forgo watching the movie due to writer-director Victor Salva’s past which includes a stint in prison for the molestation of a boy. Jeepers Creepers 3 is now approaching its September release. The upcoming premiere at the famous Chinese Theater has now been canceled. Promoter and organizer Kory Davis held a news conference Monday after receiving threats of protest. Someone contacted the theater saying that protests would not only be held the night of the premiere, but every day leading up to the screening. With the theater’s reputation being at stake they canceled the event. This is not the first time Jeepers Creepers 3 has been in trouble.
