Kurtis David Harder’s ‘Spiral’ Coming To Blu-Ray

RLJE Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, has announced the release of Spiral, from Shudder, AMC Networks’ streaming service for horror, thriller, and the supernatural. In the film, a same-sex couple moves to a small town so they can enjoy a better quality of life as they raise their 16-year-old daughter. But nothing is as it seems in their picturesque neighborhood. And when they see that the folks next door are throwing a very strange party, being the new family in town suddenly feels extremely dangerous. Directed by Kurtis David Harder (What Keeps You Alive), Spiral was written by Colin Minihan (Z), and John Poliquin (Still/Born). The film stars Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (“American Horror Story”), Ari Cohen (It franchise), Jennifer Laporte (“iZombie”), Ty Wood (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Chandra West (I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry), and Lochlyn Munro (“Riverdale”). RLJE Films will release SPIRAL on DVD for an SRP of $27.97 and Blu-ray for an SRP of $28.96.

Movie Review: Spiral (2019)

Things aren’t exactly salad and cream (that’s a thing that’s good, right?) for Malik (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman) and his partner Aaron (Ari Cohen) who move to the ultra-suburbs with A-dawgs teenage daughter Kayla (Jennifer Laporte). Being the 1990’s and all, the townsfolk are not exactly hip to the same-sex couple bag, though they hide it well… but not well enough to keep Malik from slip sliding away into paranoid delusions… or are they? Yeah, this one is a bit of the ol’ mind fuck cats n’ creeps! Director Kurtis David Harder and screenwriters Colin Minihan and John Poliquin have created one hell of a potent combo of social commentary and full-on horror biz. Firstly, our protagonists are so likable that we just know things are going to go tits up for them in the worst possible way, and boy howdy do they fucking ever! Cohen and Chapman make for a believable couple, and no matter how much we want hings to

The American Dream Turns Into A Nightmare In Shudder’s ‘Spiral’ (Trailer)

The American dream turns into a nightmare in Kurtis David Harder’s (Summerland, Incontrol) Spiral, a horror film for the current age, Spiral, which skillfully dissects themes of ostracization, otherness, and the cycles of societal rejection and hate, led by a breakout performance by Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. Check out the new intense trailer. In the film, “Malik (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, “American Horror Story”, “Canada’s Drag Race)” and Aaron (Ari Cohen, IT: Chapter II) move to a small town in search of a better environment for them and their 16-year-old daughter (Jennifer Laporte, Web of Dreams). But nothing is as it seems as something sinister lies behind the picturesque homes and welcoming faces of their new neighbors (Lochlyn Munro, CW’s “Riverdale”).” Also starring Ty Wood and Chandra Wes, the film was written by Colin Minihan (writer of the Shudder Original Z and the upcoming new Urban Legend) and John Poliquin (Selfie). Spiral is produced by Minihan, Harder, and John Poliquin for Digital Interference, the
