The New ‘Cult Of Chucky’ Trailer Is All Kinds Of Awesome !

Chucky is back and ready to slice and dice the patients of a mental institution in Cult of Chucky. The sequel, which we first reported back in 2014, wrapped filming in February. The first full trailer is here and it looks killer. The movie picks up four years after the events of Curse of Chucky. Creator-writer-director Don Mancini has promised that Cult of Chucky will be the bloodiest and goriest film of the entire franchise. That says a lot taking inconsideration the scenes in Seed of Chucky, including Method Man’s guts being spilled at the dinner table. In the film, Nica, played by Fiona Dourif, has been confined to a asylum for the criminally insane and is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky (Brad Dourif), murdered her entire family. Everything We Know So Far About CULT OF CHUCKY

While he’s a vicious serial killer, it’s hard not to be fond of Chucky. Luckily, we will soon have a new sequel and I can’t wait to see what that little red-headed, possessed, psychopath will do next. The sequel, which we first reported back in 2014, is titled Cult of Chucky. We’ve been following the film’s development closely and were ecstatic to be able to tell fans that the movie wrapped filming in February. So far, we know that the movie picks up four years after the events of Curse of Chucky. CULT OF CHUCKY Will Be The Goriest Film Of The Entire Franchise

Since the moment Cult of Chucky was announced back in January, we’ve been excited. I mean come on, who doesn’t love Chucky? The first image arrived later that month. And Back in February, returning actor Alex Vincent announced that filming had wrapped. Now, franchise creator, writer and director Don Mancini revealed at this weekend’s Monsterpalooza’s Cult of Chucky panel that the sequel will be the “goriest of all the movies”. That says a lot considering the level of gore in Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. Remember when John Waters had his face melted off? The cast added even more tidbits during the panel. Actress Jennifer Tilly added during the panel that now the studio is considering a theatrical release. And Dourif revealed that the film was torture for her character. “That’s A Wrap” – Cult Of Chucky One Step Closer To Release

We first reported writer-director Don Mancini’s sequel ‘Cult of Chucky‘ back in January. It has since become one of the most highly-anticipated genre films of the year. News has come this morning via actor Alex Vincent’s Facebook page that the movie has officially wrapped filming in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Yesterday, Vincent made the following statement on Facebook about the franchise and filming: Brad Dourif will return as the long time voice of the possessed doll. Dourif will be joined by his daughter Fiona, who starred in ‘Curse of Chucky’. And what would a Chucky movie be without Jennifer Tilly? Thankfully, she will be reprising her role as Tiffany. Don Mancini Drops Hint About Child’s Play 7

Back in 2013 the sixth film in the ‘Child’s Play’ franchise returned to its roots, reminding us of the first ‘Child’s Play’ films. For the past year, we have heard whispers of a seventh film in the works. Today, we finally have an update. Don Mancini, the creator and writer of the franchise, Tweeted a photo of the Glen doll (Chucky and Tiffany’s kid) “doubling for Chucky”. Leading us to wonder if the seventh film will be more in the vain of 1998’s ‘Bride of Chucky’ and 2004’s ‘Seed of Chucky’, which would be just fine with me. I love those movies. Either way, the good news is that film has entered preproduction. We do know that Jennifer Tilly, who co-stared in both ‘Bride of Chucky’ and ‘Seed of Chucky’, will be returning for ‘Child’s Play 7’ along with Fiona Dourif, who starred in ‘Child’s Play 6: Curse Of Chucky’.
