Back in 2013 the sixth film in the ‘Child’s Play’ franchise returned to its roots, reminding us of the first ‘Child’s Play’ films. For the past year, we have heard whispers of a seventh film in the works. Today, we finally have an update.

Don Mancini, the creator and writer of the franchise, Tweeted a photo of the Glen doll (Chucky and Tiffany’s kid) “doubling for Chucky”. Leading us to wonder if the seventh film will be more in the vain of 1998’s ‘Bride of Chucky’ and 2004’s ‘Seed of Chucky’, which would be just fine with me. I love those movies. Either way, the good news is that film has entered preproduction.
We do know that Jennifer Tilly, who co-stared in both ‘Bride of Chucky’ and ‘Seed of Chucky’, will be returning for ‘Child’s Play 7’ along with Fiona Dourif, who starred in ‘Child’s Play 6: Curse Of Chucky’. Dourif is also the daughter of actor Brad Dourif who has long been the voice of the Chucky. In both of the last two films the leading ladies (Tilly and Dourif) survived, leaving either open for a sequel.  We will update you when we know more.
