Producers Of ‘Duke Nukem’ Adaptation Give An Update

Back in January, we reported that Paramount and Platinum Dunes are teaming up for the live-action adaptation of the Duke Nukem video game starring WWE’s John Cena as the bad ass title character who appeared in 18 games released on multiple platforms beginning in 1991. The studio was eyeing WWE wrestler turned actor John Cena, who has now entered negotiations to play the title character, Duke Nukem, a cigar-chomping, flat-top having, sunglasses-wearing firearm expert with serious strength. In the games, Duke is on a mission to fight aliens to protect Earth. Duke Nukem, developed by Apogee Software, was first released in 1991 for PC gamers and has spawned 18 games released on multiple platforms. Platinum Dunes, the company owned by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller, will be producing. Bay is behind films like Transformers, Bad Boys, The Rock, and many others. You know that means, we
