Game Review: ‘The Church In The Darkness’

Fellow Traveler and Paranoid Productions indoctrinated me into the Collective Justice Mission and have sent me down to South America to join my fellow members of the congregation in Freedom Town… Well, they were just cool enough to let me try out their game The Church in the Darkness. The game takes place in the 1970s where you take on the role of an ex-cop named Vic who infiltrates the Collective Justice Mission cult’s paradise Freedom Town in what seems to be an eerie parody of Jonestown. Vic’s mission is to find his nephew Alex to see if he’s alright but soon after you arrive, you realize not everything is well. The game is a top view game where you can zoom in a little bit to see more details but other than that, this is the only angle you will see. This actually does help as when you couch you can see the guard’s field of view (depending on

Survive A Cult In ‘The Church In The Darkness

Fellow Traveler and Paranoid Productions have announced the release date for their upcoming above-view game The Church in the Darkness. The game will be available August 2nd and is currently available for pre-order. The Church in the Darkness is a stealth-driven game where players take on the role of Vic, a former cop who travels to the jungles of South America in the 1970s to a village called Freedom Town, a socialist utopia where all the citizens are part of a religious cult of the Collective Justice Mission. Vic’s mission is to locate his nephew who joined the cult and moved to Freedom Town. As you explore the village you’ll learn that not everything is as it seems and not all cult members are truly happy. Choices made by Vic will affect the outcome of the game as there are multiple endings depending on how players choose to play the game, stealthy, run and gun, non-lethal combat, or avoid confrontation

Review: John Borowski’s Serial Killer Culture TV Is A Great Time Killer

“Serial killers are everywhere! Well, perhaps not in our neighborhood, but on our television screens, at the movie theatres, and in rows and rows of books at our local Borders or Barnes and Noble Booksellers.” – Pat Brown Serial killers have held a place in popular culture for some time. They and their fictional counterparts can be found in mainstream movies, books, television shows, and music. And by way of sensationalism, these real life monsters reached a somewhat mythical status, that makes them not unlike the boogeyman. In John Borowski’s documentary film, Serial Killer Culture, the viewer is provided a glimpse of a subculture that also focuses on these same true life killers from a more real and visceral artistic, historic, and cultural perspective. While I enjoyed John’s documentary, I could see he had only scratched the surface and I hoped at least a second installment was in the works. On March 1st, John continued forth on the journey he

HBO Series ‘Raven’ In The Works Based On Jim Jones & The Jones Town Massacre

Warning Graphic Images! HBO is working on several new series, which is a good thing since their most popular series, ‘Game of Thrones’, will be ending soon. One of the new series in the works is ‘Raven’, based on the real life story of Jim Jones and the People’s Temple’s mass suicide on November 18, 1978 in which 918 adults and children died by committing suicide or were murdered at the command of Jones at their Guyana compound. The event, referred to as “The Jones Town Massacre”, is the largest mass suicide in history. Those who did not die from drinking the poisoned Kool-Aid were shot. ‘Breaking Bad’s Vince Gilligan is set to direct and executive produce ‘Raven’. At the moment it is unclear if the series will ave a single season run or be stretched out over multiple seasons. It will focus not only Jones, but other key characters as well. This is not the first time the Jim
