Adult Swim Unleashes Twisted Trailer For “The Shivering Truth’s” Second Season

Adult Swim has unleashed the all-new official trailer for the highly-anticipated second season of “The Shivering Truth.” The disturbing stop-motion animated series continues with even more terrifying stories to keep you awake at night. Season 2 premieres on Sunday, May 10 at midnight (Sunday night leading into Monday) right after “Rick and Morty.” “The Shivering Truth” is a delicately crafted, darkly surreal anthology comedy. Each episode is “a miniature propulsive omnibus cluster bomb of painfully riotous daymares all dripping with the orange goo of dream logic.” A series features loosely linked emotional parables about stories within tales that crawled out of the deepest caverns of your unconscious mind and became lovingly animated in breath-slapping stop motion — in other words, it is the TRUTH. This season features the voices of Kate Berlant, Mike Birbiglia, Wyatt Cenac, Julia Davis, Chris Elliott, Will Forte, Josh Gad, Miranda July, Jason Mantzoukas, Kyle Mooney, Griffin Newman, Ego Nwodim, Alia Shawkat, and Tierra Whack, along

Lupita Nyong’o Protects Her Class From Zombies In The ‘Little Monsters’ Trailer

Following her breakout role in Jordan Peele’s Us (review) Lupita Nyong’o stars as a schoolteacher in the horror-comedy Little Monsters, written and directed by Abe Forsythe (Down Under). The new trailer reveals the military gearing up to battle the undead and a field trip gone wrong. Nyong’o plays Miss Caroline, a teacher who fights to protect her students from a zombie outbreak during a field trip gone to hell. Miss Caroline teams up with Dave (Alexander England), a washed-up musician, and kids’ show host Teddy McGiggle (Josh Gad) to defeat zombies while trying to keep her students unaware of the outbreak. Little Monsters, which premiered at Sundance will hit theaters in the U.K. and Ireland on November 15th. A U.S. release date has yet to be announced.

Warner Bros. In Talks With Two Stars For The ‘Little Shop Of Horror’ Remake

Last year, we reported that Warner Bros. was remaking The Little Shop of Horrors with Arrow’s Greg Berlanti in the director’s chair. Based on Frank Oz’s 1986 movie-musical, the new script was penned by Matthew Robinson (Black Box). According to The Hashtag Show, the studio is now circling two well known actors for the lead roles of Seymour and Audrey, Josh Gad, who recently played LeFou in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Pitch Perfect actress Rebel Wilson. While the two musically talented actors have not officially signed the studio is reporting that they are very interested. In the original film, Rick Moranis starred as Seymour Krelborn, a down-on-his luck florist who comes across a strange plant who has a taste for blood. While raising the ever growing and always hungry plant, he watches as the woman he loves, Audrey, is mistreated by her boyfriend (Steve Martin). Little Shop of Horrors is one of my favorite horror-comedy-musicals. While I find
